As always, a beautiful meal in cosy surroundings, friendly staff and great value for money. We always make a point of visiting the Pheasant Inn whenever we are in the Lakes.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickOver the past few years, when in Keswick, we have always looked forward to our meal at the Pheasant. This year however, for the first time, we were disappointed. We all selected the meat pie as it has always been outstanding. This year there were no options regarding the sIze and the price was considerably more than we had experienced. The quality of the pastry was poor and the cost of our meal, always being the most competitive in the past was greatly increased. I know there have been huge increases in food prices but compared to other establishments that we visited, we felt that the Pheasant had failed to match up.The service from the lady who served us was excellent but despite this I don’t think we will visiting the Pheasant in the future, which is a great shame
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe made two visits in a week to the Pheasant Inn in Keswick and we were not disappointed either time. The first was for Sunday lunch. We booked online very easily and when we arrived we got a lovely warm welcome and were seated straight away. It didn't take long for the food to reach us even though they were quite busy. The staff were very friendly and helpful which created a great atmosphere. The food was wonderful (chicken and leek pie with chips and a huge perfectly cooked roast beef dinner) especially the creamed leeks and red cabbage. I have to say that it was the best Yorkshire pudding I've ever had in a pub restaurant. The next visit on the Thursday was just as welcoming though it was a lot busier. The food was perfect again (Cumberland sausage with mash and salmon on crushed new potatoes). It was very hard to choose as it was a very interesting and varied menu and all sounded delicious. We will definitely be back.

Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely, friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff. We ate here on 2 consecutive nights as the menu was so good. We thoroughly enjoyed both meals. The sea bass fillets were cooked to perfection and the presentation was very good. Staff were extremely efficient and patient on both very busy nights. Will visit again when in the area.

Pheasant Inn – KeswickVery pleasant evening meal. Hearty food. Ideal after a weekend running the Lakeland Trails. Friendly, sociable atmosphere as the pub was packed with happy diners in warm, comfortable surroundings. Enjoyed the Fish Pie, although it was a tough choice as I also fancied the Venison Bourguignon. Apple and Gooseberry Crumble was lovely. Good selection of Ales, particularly enjoyed the Pheasant Ale. Will return.

They were absolutely amazing - so attentive and kind. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service could not be bettered. Thankyou folk, great job!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe had a wonderful meal at this warm and welcoming pub on Wednesday night. The staff were very attentive, the atmosphere was cosy and the menu had a good choice of food. The meal was superb and I especially enjoyed the Balmoral Chicken. Great find.

Pheasant Inn – KeswickAbsolutely cannot recommend the pheasant highly enough, warm cosy atmosphere very friendly and accommodating ,even giving our dog a dog treat.The service was very attentive ,the food was home cooked and piping hot ,I had the fish pie which was amazing and my husband the steak pie which he loved complete with chips and veg, loved it thank you will be back when we visit Keswick again

Pheasant Inn – KeswickWhilst the food is always good, big problem with bookings - I had a five minute conversation with one of the staff on our previous visit on Sunday, and requested a specific table for a return visit this evening. The member of staff filled this in on the iPad reservation in front of me, so I know it was done. We arrived this evening to find that our table had been given to someone else!! I had requested a table to suit my needs, but this had been totally disregarded. Can I just comment at a time where we are all considering our mental well-being, that not every issue is visible.

Pheasant Inn – KeswickThe food was very enjoyable, the service was good and the atmosphere was lively considering the time of our sitting. However, the peas served with our meal had clearly not been cooked as they were fridge cold. The staff member we reported it to apologised and said she would pass it on. I didn't think this was a satisfactory response so mentioned it to the staff member who I was paying my bill to and a more acceptable resolution was offered by a reduction to the bill. During the meal, we were not asked if everything was ok. This will not stop us from another visit to The Pheasant.
