We had a wonderful meal at this warm and welcoming pub on Wednesday night. The staff were very attentive, the atmosphere was cosy and the menu had a good choice of food. The meal was superb and I especially enjoyed the Balmoral Chicken. Great find.

Really good food and a warm friendly atmosphere. If we lived locally it would be our go to pub.

Absolutely cannot recommend the pheasant highly enough, warm cosy atmosphere very friendly and accommodating ,even giving our dog a dog treat.The service was very attentive ,the food was home cooked and piping hot ,I had the fish pie which was amazing and my husband the steak pie which he loved complete with chips and veg, loved it thank you will be back when we visit Keswick again

Whilst the food is always good, big problem with bookings - I had a five minute conversation with one of the staff on our previous visit on Sunday, and requested a specific table for a return visit this evening. The member of staff filled this in on the iPad reservation in front of me, so I know it was done. We arrived this evening to find that our table had been given to someone else!! I had requested a table to suit my needs, but this had been totally disregarded. Can I just comment at a time where we are all considering our mental well-being, that not every issue is visible.

Always good honest food at The Pheasant . Staff are always friendly, attentive and pleasant to chat with. Will be going back soon

The food was very enjoyable, the service was good and the atmosphere was lively considering the time of our sitting. However, the peas served with our meal had clearly not been cooked as they were fridge cold. The staff member we reported it to apologised and said she would pass it on. I didn't think this was a satisfactory response so mentioned it to the staff member who I was paying my bill to and a more acceptable resolution was offered by a reduction to the bill. During the meal, we were not asked if everything was ok. This will not stop us from another visit to The Pheasant.

Lovely Sunday roast

Great service - lovely food, boiling hot and well cooked. Staff were friendly if a little overworked as they said they were short staffed. Still didn’t stop good service and prompt attention. Meals were good value and plenty to eat.

The Pheasant Inn is our favourite place to eat, food is great, staff and service is excellent, and a great pint of Guinness! Thank you x

We were in Keswick for a week from 30th September and visited the Pheasant on both Tuesday (3rd October) and Friday (6th). Tuesday was absolutely fine, but Friday didn't go as well. We sat at our meal table and ordered drinks. It seemed though that these had been forgotten, so we had to remind another member of staff about them before they appeared. Another group close by ordered just before us, and after they had started eating a staff member noticed some time later that we hadn't received our meals and reassured us we would be next; it seemed like we had been forgotten. The main meals arrived, then the potatoes, but no veg! Another reminder had to be made to the staff and the veg were brought to us perhaps three or four minutes later. However, we did enjoy our evening and would go again on our next visit to Keswick.

Visited on Tuesday 3rd October at 7.30pm and received a warm welcome. The meal was fantastic and plentiful. Reasonably priced as well. When in Keswick give the Pheasant a visit. You won't be disappointed. I would personally rate it the best pub/restaurant for food and drink in Keswick.

My wife and I went for Sunday Lunch which was fabulous. Lovely pub, great staff excellent food and drink. We always try to call in for a meal when in Keswick

Amazing meal as always at the Pheasant. Specials Board is always a great option. Updated menu has some great new additions. Best food pub in Keswick in my opinion. Never disappoints and very friendly attentive staff make it an enjoyable visit.

Amazing! Food quality is beyond pub food, more restaurant quality. Great atmosphere. Great service with a wide choice on the menu. We always make a point of visiting and cannot wait to return next time we are in Keswick.
