Very nice atmosphere

The Pheasant Inn is a place to enjoy excellent food with a varied menu. We ate here several times in the past week and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious and generous food served by the very friendly and helpful staff. Use the online booking system to avoid disappointment as this is a popular place. Best place in town.

Last day of the vacation, celebratory meal for 6 assorted oldies on 1 July. Our son had recommended The Pheasant, having eaten here a year ago. Well, it was a very busy, very jolly Friday night at The Pheasant. They were short staffed, and the kitchen and waitpeople were run off their feet ..... BUT, the service was great (and happy and smiley), the meal was excellent (even though they'd run out of black pudding starter and chicken supreme main - I never mind that, it's usually proof of fresh ingredients!). The stars were the Hake, the Lamb Henry, and the Venison. Short, but excellent wine list, and (of course) a great array of very well kept local Ales! We'll be back - to celebrate the beginning and the middle, as well as the end, of our next vacation in Keswick!

Although we’ve stayed In Keswick countless times we’d never visited The Pheasant and it seems we’ve been missing out! We visited twice last week and both times the food was excellent. Everywhere in the Lakes seems to be suffering with staff shortages at the moment and it was obvious that they could have done with more staff at the Pheasant. But the young girls covering the bar and the table service were exemplary, friendly and attentive and I can’t fault the service. Thoroughly recommend and we’ll definitely be back next year!

Had a lovely meal the Pheasant on Saturday Night the Steak was cooked perfectly Yes we waited a little bit for the meal but they were very busy and the waitress was so polite and very efficient she was working so hard as they all were Will be back soon

Very good service and very high quantity food standards and the portion sizes were very generous. Lots of games and activities for both children, adults and families to play whilst they waited for their food. Would highly recommend this pub!!!

We were very impressed with the food. It was very tasty, good quality food and large portions. We also enjoyed the atmosphere, and the staff, all of whom were friendly, very helpful and attentive. We were so impressed that we booked to eat here a second time, on the last night of our 5 night holiday in Keswick.

Ate here twice last week. Good menu and excellent quality food. Friendly staff. Pub is located circa a mile from the centre of Keswick. Highly recommend.

We booked a table in advance for eight people on a Sunday evening at 7 pm. On arrival the The pub was very busy with people dining and having a beer or two. It had a great atmosphere as any good pub should do. The staff were hard-working very attentive and very polite. The food was very good quality and very generous portion sizes. Would definitely visit again if we are ever in the lakes.

Good atmosphere in the pub but option to sit outside on the day would have been appreciated as it was a gorgeous day outside on the 20 June 2022. One waitress was too scantilly clad. Good behind the bar perhaps but not for serving food. The Waitress was beautiful yes I agree, and generally harmless but better more covered up. Food was served piping hot which was good at the end of the meal although no one offered the bill I did feel like we were being rushed out but this was probably just efficient service with the clearing up. Generally good responses from all of the party on the food with the Madras receiving good praises. The lamb appeared to be cooked to perfection and no complaints there. My vegetarian meal was not what I expected so I should have asked first and it was certainly piping hot.
