Beautiful country pub which has managed to blend a modern style restaurant feel perfectly. The staff are polite and attentive and polite. The menu is varied and the food is excellent quality.

My wife and I enjoyed lunch of a ploughman’s and duck with hoisin sauce in very pleasant surroundings being served by very pleasant and attentive staff. We will certainly be eating there again.

Nice big Sunday dinner followed by a lovely lemon posset zinging with freshness and flavour…the pub is spacious and relaxed and the service is friendly and attentive…all at a v reasonable price … what’s not to like?

Lovely setting and the restaurant is very stylish. The young girls waiting on were very friendly and efficient. Unfortunately the meal I wanted "Pie" they had run out of which was dissapointing at only 7:30 in the evening. In the end we all ordered the Sunday roast and have to say it was excellent. Only the potatoes seemed to have been re-heated a few times and had become hard and dry. It wouldn't stop us visiting again because we all enjoyed ourselves, but there is just some room for improvement.

Lovely meal faultless room was OK but shared it with a flipping dog at another table. Do NOT agree with animals in and around food tables or kitchens slavering everywhere. That was what spoilt it for my party of 7. Otherwise ok. I am an Associate Member of Public Health & Hygiene and animals were not permitted in Eateries when l qualified my Certificate. Old habits die hard.

Hi ,we had a lovely meal ,although the service was very slow,taking orders ,was really slow,then they had run of of a few things and came back 10 minutes later to tell us,I was hoping to book a family meal,but with children and older people,thinking it not very suitable for us

My wife and I have been coming here for several years and the recent change of owners has not dented the experience. The food is made with much care and love. Excellent house wines are available. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and great service. We will be back many times.

Unfortunately there were very few options for veggies (apart from small plates/starters). Visited on a Sunday and would have loved a veggie roast as the roasts looked great but als no. Current problems with staffing may explain why my dessert was under par. Could have done with longer in the oven and not enough sugar.

We hadn’t been to the Lunesdale for a while but having read the reviews we booked for lunch on Saturday. Over the years it has evolved and is now a very stylish welcoming place to eat. We were greeted by the young and enthusiastic staff. It took us a while to make our choices due to the many options available. We didn’t manage to reach the dessert menu but we’re keeping that treat for next time, and there will certainly be a next time.

Excellent meal with fantastic service

Our meals at our table for 4 were superb and the staff were so welcoming, cheerful and efficient. The whole experience was an absolute pleasure.
