Lovely food and excellent service!
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby Lonsdale
Kirkby Lonsdale is a historic market town located on the border between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales on the River Lune. Famous for it's Devils Bridge - a regular meeting place for motorcyclists and it's Victorian Fair held every September. There are many dining options including pubs, tearooms and hotels.
Lovely food and excellent service!
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleOur third visit to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Service is courteous and friendly. The food is excellent and great gluten free choices (except for dessert on this occasion). We'll definitly be back and highly recommend.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleFirst visit on Sunday afternoon and we will return. Very nice venue. Attentive, accommodating staff, Sunday roast very good but clearly a couple of the elements had been sat around and re-heated, probably our fault for going later in the day? It certainly hasn't put us off booking a return trip.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleFood was very good, as usual. Service was a bit on the slow side although we were told when we arrived that they were short staffed that evening. Not helped by one male staff member wandering around like a lost lamb, not really knowing what to do! None the less, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and evening. Hope they can recruit more staff soon
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleSuper disappointing. Food and wine straight out of a box along with poor service.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleExcellent food and service as always. Never had anything less than a superb dining experience here.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWe visited The Lunesdale Arms on the way home from a Glasgow trip. Just off the M6, this place is an absolute must to stop and have lunch compared to stopping at a service station Unbelievable food (the roasts were brilliant) at reasonable prices. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food/drinks arrived quickly Would definitely return if back in the area
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleAnother very enjoyable visit to the Arms. Despite the change of ownership the menu show’s little alteration and is excellent. The staff have changed but are still excellent, attentive without fussiness and very pleasant. The interior hasn’t changed and has always been a real plus, with plenty of space and no encroachment on the other tables. I did note that selected wine board had disappeared but I still found an excellent choice within the menu. I often take visiting family and friends for a meal at the Arms and it is very much appreciated.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWe had a fantastic time food was excellent. Nice atmosphere. Would go again. Great place. Loved the decor!
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleFabulous food, service & atmosphere, most enjoyable afternoon with friends, thank you.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleSuperb meal. Attentive but not over zealous staff. We were not rushed. Super atmosphere. A very enjoyable evening. We will return.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleFood and service was spot on. Good value for money considering the dishes that were on offer. Atmosphere was great and service first class. Will eat here again!
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleExcellent as always, my husband and I ended up having a 3 course meal here purely in the grounds that the first two courses were so good we couldn’t not try a 3rd. We weren’t disappointed. Lovely setting with attentive (but not overly) friendly staff. The food arrived in good time but wasn’t too hurried and the quality was excellent. My husband and the fish and chips main and it was huge but cooked to perfection, I have the beef bourgignon with meat that melted in your mouth and so flavourful. Will absolutely be here again on the coming weeks and would highly recommend
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleSuperb evening everything spot on.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleLovely meal, great staff and good value.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleBlokes had large fish and chips and they were really pleased , fish huge, meaty and cooked perfectly though fat chips a bit average , ladies had different pasta dishes and were not disappointed . Good sweet menu , good service, nice atmosphere on a Wednesday early evening so Thankyou
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleExcellent food and beer, pleasant staff. Unfortunately the evening was spoilt for me by the background "music" which had a thumping bass. I asked the waitresses twice if they could lower the volume or change the music. They readily obliged but each time the volume slowly increased again. I left the restaurant with a painful headache. I accept that I might have sensitive hearing but why does this type of music need to be played, it had more in keeping with a gym fitness class than a restaurant. Why not play something more soothing and relaxing? I have eaten here on several occasions but am now reluctant to return in future.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleWe came to celebrate my wife's birthday and had an enjoyable meal. Getting on in years we have smaller appetites now but there were suitable things for us to order. The food was excellent, the staff very friendly and accommodating letting us have sides as starters.
