A wonderful birthday meal without a missed beat. The mussels were the sweetest I have ever tasted and the chorizo-infused white wine broth they came in was laden with soft onions. A hunk of chargrilled homemade bread was perfect for mopping up the last of it. My wife had remembered the twice-baked cheese soufflé from our previous visit and proclaimed it just as delectable as before. I opted for a pizza main course and was treated to a crisp base, creamy mozzarella, unctuous balsamic onions and meaty Tuscan sausage with just enough fennel to give it an intriguing aniseed note. The braised lamb was declared a triumph. Two decent glasses of wine complemented the dishes well. The pricing is extremely good value - restaurant quality food at pub prices - and the staff were attentive enough without being intrusive. The Lunesdale has been a favourite for years. We were concerned that the new ownership might have changed that: we shouldn’t have been: it’s still fab.

Beautiful food and excellent service in a lovely pub. We had a fantastic night and will definitely return soon.

My friend and I enjoyed a deliceous meal this week at The Lunesdale. It never dissapoints. Excellent food, great service & a warm, relaxed ambience. This is my favourite place to eat out.

I just love this pub. Great food in a smart and cozy atmosphere. It has recently just changed hands but the in-house team chefs and all still remain. This is great news ! So come on guys let’s give them some support. Keep up the good work Lunesdale Arms Regards Happy Mike.

Another great night at our favourite eating and drinking venue, What can be added to the fabulous comments left by other diners that can do justice to the level of service we have always received at the Lunesdale, nothing except that we cant wait for our next visist. Sadly it was Andy and Binns last night as host and owners of the Lunesdale but the fantastic turnout by staff, new and old was testament to the popularity of these special people who will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

First visit here and loved it! Everything more than met our expectations- although the puddings werent quite as good as outstanding main courses but these new to menusnd asked for feedback! Will definitely return.

This restaurant is amazing!!It is very welcoming .The staff are very friendly, the food is delicious and good value. The extensive menu includes from steak to pizza. Everything freshly cooked. I like the fresh crab at certain times of the year. The cauliflower fritters are delicious! You can splash out or have an economical meal. Great for a meal with children or a romantic meal for two! It has a wonderful ambiance, a stylish artistic interior with beautiful artefact's. Its also very clean . Lovely to sit outside in the summer too!

We had a large family meal at The Lunesdale Arms. The food was spectacular, the team looked after us really well and the place had a great feel and atmosphere.

Best seafood linguine ever! From a self confessed food snob. The service was both friendly and good. We were a group of 8 , all food timed to perfection . A beautiful country pub with a very farrow and ball feel. We will be back

Lovely atmosphere, fab food

I had a lovely lunch with friends. The atmosphere was very calm and relaxing. The food was delicious. Added to that the staff were friendly, attentive and very professional. What a wonderful place to eat.
