Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby Lonsdale
Kirkby Lonsdale is a historic market town located on the border between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales on the River Lune. Famous for it's Devils Bridge - a regular meeting place for motorcyclists and it's Victorian Fair held every September. There are many dining options including pubs, tearooms and hotels.

Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleHad a fantastic lunch at the Lunesdale Arms. Our first impression as we walked in was the lovely decor and the friendly staff. We all had three courses and enjoyed every mouthful of the delicious food. Service was outstanding too.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleExcellent service and food in a lovely country pub/restaurant. We have visited the Lunesdale Arms on many occasions and have never been disappointed. Our thanks to all the team, both front of house and behind the scenes for making every trip so enjoyable.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleQuite simply a great all round evening. Menu gave quality choices over a wide range of different ingredients. Making the evening one to remember.
Lunesdale Arms – Kirkby LonsdaleLovely hotel with a top chef! Great food and service. got to be one of the best venues in Lancashire!
Hipping Hall – Kirkby LonsdaleSat in the beer garden with a pint and a pizza, absolutely lovely.
Avanti Restaurant – Kirkby LonsdaleLove the place, staff are always great. The food there is second to none. I'd ask this Brian Smith below to submit his doctors note or professional opinion on the matter. Too many people quick to think a jippy tum is from the last place they ate without realising that it takes 5-10 hours to fully go round your system . Bet he never even went to a doctors. Maybe he's competition trying to do the restaurant an injustice by lying. Rest assured peeps that Kirkby Spice is a VERY clean place
Spice Essence – Kirkby LonsdaleLovely traditional eatery with old school service and meals.
Copper Kettle – Kirkby LonsdalePlato's is a fine establishment! Great food and drink in the heart of this lovely village.
Plato’s – Kirkby LonsdaleMy wife and I have visited The Tearooms quite often on a weekend, we have always eaten the All Day Breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Staff are very pleasant and the food is cooked to a high standard, no grease at all. The cakes are excellent too!!!
Cariad Coffee House and Tearoom – Kirkby LonsdaleGreat food, simple menu of british classics with great open fires and service to match.
The Highwayman – Kirkby LonsdalePlatos is a tapas cafe with all day English food. It used to good, but today we were all disappointed with the fare. Hard cooked eggs florentine and burgers like hockey pucks were discussed around the table. The eggs were replaced at speed and with grace and a smile. Today was maybe, just a bad day at the stoves. I hope so as Platos is a pleasing child friendly venue.
Plato’s – Kirkby LonsdaleHad Lancashire Hotpot - very little meat nor carrots. It did have a good enough taste and the sliced potato on top well done.
The Highwayman – Kirkby LonsdaleMy hubby and I ate at the Pheasant Inn last night and were bowled over by its fresh and welcoming new decor and fabulous food. I had the homemade scotch egg to start, it was soft and herby served with very crisp Parma ham and a mushroom ragout, hubby had the pressed rabbit which was amazing, really meaty served with a sweet chutney and spicy vegetables. The mains got better! My halibut was fried to perfection, but the show stopper was the locally sourced venison, incredible! So tender and tasty served with a red wine reduction mmmmmm. Hats off to Duncan, your food is fabulous and thank you Heather for your generosity in letting us stay with you. We will be back!
The Pheasant Inn – Kirkby LonsdaleFood poisoning for two days. Avoid.
Spice Essence – Kirkby LonsdaleWOW, went to the Highwayman yesterday 28/08/11 and the food, selection of drinks and attentiveness was spot on. I've not enjoyed a meal out as much in a long time - what a little gem! I had the roast beef Sunday lunch, the rib of beef was sublime and my partner had the duck, not too strong with a lovely garlic potato gratin. Thank You
The Highwayman – Kirkby LonsdaleMy wife & I stayed here on 4 & 5/07/2011. The Taster Menu was sampled on the first evening & we could only manage 7 of the 8 courses. We opted out of the Sticky Toffee pudding as we had no room for it! All courses were of a very high standard & the staff were friendly but not familiar. The breakfasts were most enjoyable and the evening meal on the 2nd night was also delicious. We stayed in the four poster bedroom and spent a most comfortable time. Living in Central Scotland will not prevent us returning once I've managed to shed some weight. A lovely experience.
Barbon Inn and Restaurant – Kirkby LonsdaleWhilst holidaying in Kirkby Lonsdale we opted for a take away from Spice Essence. The food was reasonably priced and very nice. It looked really nice inside and was busy even early in the evening
