Paid our first visit to this restaurant since moving into the area from the West Midlands where we know our way round a good curry. We were pleased with the friendly welcome and enjoyed choosing our meals in the relaxed and comfortable bar area, enjoying an early evening drink. We made our selections and before long were shown to our table. Poppadoms were already there waiting for us and they were lovely - fresh and crisp, with generous portions of assorted dips. The rest of the food did not disappoint either - we thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

Went on Sunday for my birthday. Food and service, brilliant as always. Our favourite restaurant.

Booked for Saturday for 4 everyone had a lovely meal , quick service and nice waiter and waitress will definitely be going back soon

Absolutely fantastic meal, the starter of garlic mushrooms on crumpets out of this world. The meals served piping hot and promptly. Staff very very friendly and a great atmosphere.in the pub/ restaurant.

We came back for a meal with our family on Sunday and were very happy once again with the service and food we had. I would like to thank Maisie and Sam who took our orders and served us. They couldn't have been more helpful and courteous towards us. We will definately come back again. Thank you to the chef all the meals we ordered were delicious

Always a great atmosphere and friendly staff but unfortunately on this occasion the food was not up to there normal standard, my posh prawn cocktail was anything but and very disappointing, they we’re busy and we waited longer than usual, but hopefully next time will be better

I come to the Kingfisher quite often with a friend or friends. We have always found your menu and the meals quite excellent. We are particularly impressed with vegetarian options. However I brought my son on Sunday to sample the Sunday lunch and I’m afraid we were disappointed. The meats were thin sliced like you would have on a sandwich. Roast potatoes were dry and tasteless. Vegetables were apalling. A few pieces of carrot, swede and green beans. Soggy and tasteless. Really sorry but it was not up to scratch at all. I ordered roast pork. My son opted for all three meats, but was dismayed when the plated was overloaded with double the veg and potatoes and TWO massive yorkshire puds. It was overfacing and off putting. Sorry I cant give a better review. Your normal menu is great and the food fantastic so the disappointment was great.

Myself and a few friends quite often dine at the Kingfisher, the food is very good, it always has a choice of ale and the staff are very efficient and friendly. We will return again.

Great meal again service spot on

We recently visited The Kingfisher for my birthday tea with my granddaughter and her friend my husband and our best friends. The service was exceptional and the food really nice. We have been a few times before and will continue to go again next time we're up here. It felt very relaxing and it's really good value for money. We all chose a different meal and we all enjoyed our food

The food was extremely fresh and tasty. The portion size was really good. The decor atmosphere and service were top notch as well. Can’t recommend this place enough

Appalling couldn’t find the booking for the 2nd time, last time we left without eating. didn’t have the menu for wings Wednesday waited an hour for the food to arrive and when it did it was inedible, tasted of chemicals. There was no way the food had been anywhere near a smoker or BBQ.
