Ordered a takeaway last night it was the best dish I have ever had in a long time. Will be going there again.
Red Rose Indian Restaurant – KirkhamExcellent warm and friendly service from the staff. Ordered a takeaway to be delivered and the quality of the food was to a really high standard it was fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend Red Rose at Kirkham to all my family and friends. Delighted customer;)
Red Rose Indian Restaurant – KirkhamThe Eagle and Child really need a greeter as no one tells you where to sit or how to order etc. I enjoyed my Chilli, however my wife didnt like her veggie stroganoff at all. We did get a refund on that though. So fair play to them. Nice looking pub too in the pleasant village of Weeton.
The Eagle at Weeton – KirkhamDined at Buraq in Kirkham last night with the Sugarvine offer. Great value at £11.95 for 3 courses. Food was excellent, service impeccable. Also nice touches like a complimentary carafe of water with separate ice. On a different note, how on earth do they get their white linen so clean!
Buraq – KirkhamAnother nice Sunday lunch here followed by a walk along the Lancaster canal. Never seen it so busy and it wasn’t easy to get a table. No longer the Fylde’s best-kept secret it seems!
Hand and Dagger – KirkhamTook my 70-something-year-old mum for her first Indian and where better than Buraq? She was mightily impressed with both the decor and the staff just as we always are. Started her off with a chicken korma and a mango lassi – will leave the vindaloo until her next visit! Try and get a booth if you can.
Buraq – KirkhamGreat pub, food and landlord.
Hand and Dagger – KirkhamIf I’m honest, I didn’t know this place was here. I’ve been to the spa before here at Ribby Hall (and very nice it is too) and I knew they had an eatery for the ‘ladies that lunch’ but I had no idea it was a brasserie that opened in the evenings and that it had two AA rosettes. That puts it, in theory, right at the top of the tree when it comes to Fylde restaurants so we gave it a go last night and it did not disappoint. The Spa Hotel is an ‘adults only’ venue and although some of the aforementioned adults were still wafting around the lobby in dressing gowns when we arrived, it’s nice to know that if you’re going out for a decent meal in the evening you don’t have to run the gauntlet of screaming babies and misbehaving kids. The staff were attentive, the decor plush in a beigey way and the food was very, very good. My mother commented it was the best meal she had had in years. I had a lovely celery and apple veloute with black pudding spring roll, Bowland lamb done two ways and the cheese board with a glass of port. Recommended.
The Brasserie At The Spa Hotel – KirkhamAnother great lunch here. Had the Spag Bol, special (and it was), Bob had the Ham and Jo had the ribs - all super. It is THE place to go if you want to stay pretty local but want something a little bit special.
Hand and Dagger – KirkhamOnly got three hygiene stars food not good
East Ocean Chinese Takeaway – KirkhamHad a meal for our Wedding Anniversary there the other week. Food was excellent and the staff superb. The locals all think Martin is the best landlord they've had in years Keep up the good work .
Hand and Dagger – KirkhamOutstanding meal with quality service in a very clean restaurant. 10/10 :-) will be going again.
Ashiana Tandoori Restaurant – KirkhamMy kind of place! Great enjoyment all round. Food is imaginative and well presented. Having spent a lifetime eating well this is in the top of the lst! Delightful atmosphere throughout . if you are having a bad day this is the place to go for proper therapy! Went with an eating club of many years standing and we shall return!!!! Serves you right Martin and the merry crew! Sorry I couldn't manage the fourth pudding.
Hand and Dagger – KirkhamHaven't enjoyed a restaurant so much for years! Food is top notch, ambience welcoming and makes you feel at home immediately, staff are good fun and efficient. A thoroughly joyful place. Went with a large party, pre arranged, and there were also another 30 people in another dining room. Service was impeccable . Martin has terrific sense of humour, well he must have in that job! Certainly a place to visit when you need an interesting and really good meal - and a good laugh! Well done. I shall be telling the world and return if only to apologise . Thank you
Hand and Dagger – KirkhamThe best chippy this town has every had !
Dawsons – KirkhamI've dined here many times and the food and service has been excellent. In fact I can't fault it, also they have kingfisher on draught for £3.60 a pint which is very reasonable for a restaurant.
Ashiana Tandoori Restaurant – KirkhamJust returned from another visit to the Hand & Dagger inn. This place is top of our list for Sunday' eating establishments. A 2/3 course menu displays choices of starters, mains and deserts for an excellent price. Specials are listed on a blackboard. My partner opted for brunch starter consisting of black pudding, mushroom, poached egg and crisp pancetta on creamy mustard sauce followed by perfectly cooked roast beef with trimmings. I had a tasty chicken ceaser starter and the beef. My 8 year old opted for poached egg and black pudding special and was given the option of no mustard sauce and extra Chips which pleased him immensely. I was too full for a pudding but tasted my partners delicious bread and butter home-made dessert and it was fabulous. The place has a welcome feel, lovely atmosphere avnd the service is polite and excellent. The landlord remembers everybody and runs an excellent pub. You must go and visit but booking would be advisable it's a busy place on Sunday's.
Hand and Dagger – KirkhamWe have been going to the Ashiana, since it opened. But we were disapointed, last Sunday. We were surprised to find we were the only ones in at the time. The Waiter warmly welcomed us.We decided not to go for the Special Sunday offer at £9.99 and chose off the Menu. As we were being shown to our table, some more people arrived. The Waiter seemed to change his attidude. Our meal was put down on to the table, no smiles just a straight face -The Special Naans were the worst we have ever tasted, hard around the edges, and hardly any filling, just coconut, no sultanas etc. And i must add, that i think, that the food should be served with a warming stove , on the table. The rice was in a cold china dish, and went cold. bothe our chosen dishes, had a tinned pineapple ring in the centre of the sauce, and mine with the exception of the chicken, hardly anything else, apart from the sauce. We wont be going again-ever. It has changed, not the usual quality, and friendliness of the staff. In fact we only saw the Waiter. wether they were having a bad day, i dont know. Or maybe we should have ordered the Sunday Special!
