Lovely meal at the Kingfisher. Portions are generous in size. Very well cooked. I had the beef salad and it was cooked to perfection. Definitely worth a visit here and you get service with a smile!!

The Kingfisher – KirkhamFood was a good size portion, tasted fresh and well presented. The staff are always attentive, polite and friendly
The Kingfisher – KirkhamShould have been a clue when the place was empty on a Saturday afternoon. Initial waitress seemed new. Had to come back for the drinks order - 3 only! Then got it wrong. The food when it arrived was cold. After seeing photos on FB and their website I was expecting better things. The brisket was chopped up like it was being served to a child. The ribs fell off the bone but were dry. As for the burgers - what were they Birds Eye frozen? Certainly not made in site. I didn’t even attempt the wings as they even looked dried up The quarter piece of corn was again cold and dried up. It was a case of let’s pay and go. Only when clearing up did a waitress ask how the food was. I think my face was a clue Don’t believe the photos as obviously not what you get
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamThis is relatively local, in the main things were fine however the issues were no soap in toilets from 5pm , one of the toilets had no lock at all Food was average, nann breads not great and few dishes overly spicy when supposed to be mild. 2 dishes were missed from our order which were for the children. Nice enough staff and table service, but very warm given the weather so some fans or open doors would help. Over all I think it lacks attention to detail.
Buraq – KirkhamLovely food as always, we eat here frequently and it’s always really good . Good value for money and a nice restaurant
Buraq – KirkhamExcellent meal and the staff as always were brilliant.
The Kingfisher – KirkhamNice greeting and shown to our table, menus presented and refreshment, nice fella had the chat. Order taken and meals arrived in a timely fashion. And then! Completely ignored, finished our meals and after 40 minutes gave up and called to a server on a faraway table. Young grumpy brought more refreshments, then brought dessert. And then! Completely ignored, meal/refreshment completed. Gave up and requested our bill at the bar. Young grumpy mumbled a few (I think they were) words. Humph Closing The pie is NOT a pie, it’s a lidded pot.
The Kingfisher – KirkhamHad a meal yesterday, was amazing and really good service. Will be going again

The Kingfisher – KirkhamWalked in at 8pm on a Saturday night, atmosphere non existent. Decided to give the benefit of the doubt and approached the bar. Asked for a diet coke or Pepsi, whatever they had, to be told they had run out of soft drinks. Wait.. all was not lost, they had some Pepsi Max. A warm 2l bottle was presented from under the bar as ice was hand scooped into a pint glass.... "Has that come from the fridge?" we enquired. "Yes?" Came the hesitant response from barkeep no1. "Are you sure?" We double checked. "No" Replied barkeep no2. The lack of atmosphere and lack of ability to provide the most basic of soft drinks let alone a straight answer cut our visit short. Can't comment on food, would suggest the lack of atmosphere at 8pm on a Saturday speaks volumes. Can't imagine we'll bother trying again. 20 mins late we found ourselves at Hickory's waiting with numerous others for a table.
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamMy wife and I both had our Sunday Dinner here on Easter Weekend. Hot, plentiful and delicious, as always, and great value for money.
The Kingfisher – KirkhamFirst class food & excellent service. Plentiful portions
Buraq – KirkhamBeen a few times now. Fantastic place! The food was outstanding, the staff super friendly. Highly recommended! Will definitely be back again
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamHad an nice evening meal on 13th April. Partner had salmon which she thoroughly enjoyed, I had that roast pork which was rather dry and gave the impression of having been sliced much earlier and left to stand. Overall I'll give it 8 out of 10.
