Visited Mere Court Hotel with my husband yesterday (10/5/24) and this is our first ever visit and definitely wont be the last. First impressions didnt disappoint, the hotel and grounds are immaculate, and it was very easy to park. We were greeted at reception by 2 members of staff who were both pleasant and polite, we were shown to our table which was in a small area, very cosy, and immaculate overlooking the grounds. We had Traditional Afternoon Tea which was lovely and plentiful for 2 people, the atmosphere was relaxed and quiet. Afterwards we had a walk around the gardens and lake which was stunning. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a nice drive out on a sunny day for afternoon tea.

An excellent lunch - the staff were very helpful and friendly. The service was very good. The choice of dishes on the menu was excellent and the food lived up to expectations. An added bonus was the views of the gardens - the Rhododendron were in full bloom.

Afternoon Tea. Lovely venue with lots of small rooms with just a few tables for a peaceful experience and lovely views of the garden. Rooms with a vintage look perfect for afternoon tea, making it a pleasurable experience. Staff lovely and the food was really tasty. Gardens are pretty with rhododendron's in bloom. Our second afternoon tea this time with family and can’t wait to come back. Thank you again!

Beautiful afternoon tea. The service was excellent served by a young woman who was very attentive. The food was amazing and the scones were still warm from the oven.

Booked afternoon tea for my sisters Birthday. What an absolutely lovely afternoon we had at this delightful little hotel. We were met by the staff who quickly saw us to our table , with a lovely view over the gardens and the pond. The tea and prosecco was quick to arrive, followed by the cream tea. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are super. Will definitely be back. Sunday lunch next!

We booked an afternoon tea for my Aunt's 100th birthday and we were not disappointed. We were a tricky group with a wide range of allergies and all were accommodated; the tea was delicious and the gluten free scones were the best I have ever tasted. The hotel were welcoming and allowed us to come earlier than our booked time to decorate the table and bring balloons and decorations, The waiting staff were helpful and obliging. We had a fabulous time and would not hesitate to book again.

We had a beautiful afternoon tea with family, the food was lovely, surroundings beautiful. Sadly, absolutely not the hotels fault, a very large wedding filled most spaces inside and out with loud rowdy people drunk by 230 in the afternoon. It was virtually impossible to access the toilets safely. Not good for my granddaughters to witness. Would definately return but would check prior to ensure this didn't happen again

My Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our three course meal, which was served by Sam.....who was exceptional!! Would highly recommend and hope to return soon.

Really nice afternoon tea and the staff were lovely.

Warm welcome, given an option of dining room. Had requested when booking a specific sandwich, which had been noted and the request was accommodated. Service was great as was the selection of cakes. Minor issue the tea was a little weak, one tea bag in a pot of tea. Look Forward to returning soon. Lots of parking spaces.

Had a lovely afternoon tea. Location of dinning room and gardens were beautiful. Food excellent and the staff wonderful. Would highly recommend for a traditional afternoon treat.
