Great food, reasonably priced!

Brought my friend for her 80th birthday for afternoon tea. Beautiful peaceful setting. Staff very helpful and attentive. Afternoon tea very nice with a good selection of sandwiches and cakes. Have been previously and cannot fault the place. Hope to come again very soon.

Champagne afternoon tea booked but glass champagne only offered half way through tea after I reminded reception staff otherwise would not have been. Food was ok and service good. Would I return? Probably not given the initial misunderstanding.

Stayed overnight in one of the lovely four poster rooms and enjoyed a lovely 3 course evening meal in the restaurant. Food was excellent and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was great and good selection too.

Have had both an afternoon tea and Sunday lunch in the last few weeks at Mere Court. The food , staff and service were excellent. Very comfortable atmosphere in the hotel.

Gorgeous afternoon tea with loads of tea and coffee. Lovely sandwiches. The scones were light and delicious. The cakes were our favourite lemon drizzle and Bakewell tart. The only downside was the cream which was whipped and sweet instead of clotted cream. Will definitely return

Had a lovely afternoon tea with a friend. The sandwiches were freshly cut and the fillings generous. The scones were fresh and there was a good selection of cakes. The staff at the desk were welcoming and the young men who served us were efficient, friendly and polite. I have been to this restaurant several times before and always found it to be reliably good.

I brought my mum here for an Afternoon tea for her birthday. I had emailed the day before to inform the staff that it was her birthday, to inform of dietary requirements as I needed to ask for one vegetarian option and requested for decaffeinated tea due to me being pregnant - plus my mum and I prefer decaffeinated tea. We arrived a little early but that wasn’t an issue at all and were politely greeted and seated. The service was outstanding for all the staff who served us and the food was delicious. We were given complimentary Prosecco both alcoholic and non alcoholic for me to be able to celebrate too. The chef also sent out a plate for my mum with Happy Birthday written in chocolate sauce with strawberries and chocolate brownies which was a lovely surprise. All in all the service was wonderful and FANTASTIC. It certainly was a pleasant experience and Afternoon tea. I will definitely be coming back and hopefully next time with my husband either before or after baby is born. Thank you so much for all your hard work and for making my mum feel special on her birthday. And thank you for such wonderful hospitality. I would highly recommend you to anyone that asks where the best place is to have afternoon tea. Thank you

Afternoon tea on a groupon very nice servers and a nice selection of sandwiches and cakes.

Visited for champagne afternoon tea, food good, service excellent and would recommend.

Excellent venue customer service and most importantly super food. Enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch with family.

Myself and my parents came here on Saturday it was absolutely gorgeous we loved it and we are looking forward to booking here again

Lovely food , sandwiches were good selection and fresh: scone and cakes nice as well. Was a good afternoon tea No variety for the tea though just English breakfast which is ok but I enjoy other varieties.
