Lovely afternoon with friends spent having a delicious afternoon tea with quality Prosecco. Great service from a young man who was polite and welcoming.

Lovely afternoon. Lovely young lady who looked after us was very attentive and smiley and helpful. Afternoon tea was delicious. Food really tasty, tea was plentiful and the champagne was yummy! Will definitely visit again. Well done! X

Four of us enjoyed a truly excellent lunch at Mere Court recently! It was our first time there and we were extremely pleased with the whole experience. Two of our party had diet issues (Gluten Free) and these were addressed with no problems at all. The service from the staff was tip top, the food was of the very best quality and beautifully presented. I cannot fault them in any way - hence the full marks given below. We are planning to return soon and are looking forward to being there once again.

It was lovely to be back at Mere Court where we had our Wedding Breakfast 10 years ago. This time, we celebrated the Birthday of our Gran from Austria and enjoyed a delicious Afternoon Tea: The table was beautifully set, the staff was very friendly and helpful as always, the food was outstanding. Best fresh scones ever!! Our "Birthday Girl" got a specially prepared plate for the occasion as we mentioned it when booking the table. After tea we went for a walk on the grounds - such beautiful gardens, lovely for all generations! Highly recommended - we will be back sooner than later!

We had two meals with our stay at the hotel and both meals were superb The three courses were beautifully served and the best meals we have had At a hotel in a long time the service was great food very hot and delicious We had a great stay

The service was good, the waitress very pleasant. The afternoon tea was good except we were served whipped cream instead of clotted cream for the scones and the finger sandwiches were made with cheap bread that wasn’t fresh. Another pointer is the receptionist obviously has your booking on her screen. So why announce to the world “is it a Groupon deal”? She could request to see email confirmation or printed confirmation. No need to mention Groupon. Its not helpful for the hotel either. People think if they are on Groupon they must be struggling.

Lovely afternoon tea for Father’s Day

Afternoon Tea was wonderful in pleasant dining area, service excellent , food was very nice and the venue is very nice in loverly surroundings,would recommend to anybody.

We came for a champagne afternoon tea on 17/6/23 We were asked where we would like to sit and Maria who looked after us was very polite without being overbearing. The food was fresh and appetising and the drinks hot and plentiful. The champagne was cold and fizzy lol. All in all a lovely experience.

Four of us enjoyed afternoon tea here in a very pleasant dining area. We had a large full teapot each and just about enough milk. The sandwiches were delicious with plenty of filling and the scones warm (would have preferred clotted cream though). The cakes were perhaps not as “ exciting “ as we have had at other venues but still ok. It would have been nice if some one had asked us if we needed anything and if everything was satisfactory!

Lovely afternoon tea. I am gluten free and was still able to have an array of treats. Lovely, friendly staff on reception and serving the food. A lovely afternoon treat.

Afternoon tea was out of this world. Top quality food and lovely glass of champagne. Staff were friendly and efficient. The building is set in a lovely location and gardens are beautiful.

Received the warmest of welcomes from a great receptionist which got us off to a good start. Dined well in the restaurant - food was spot on and the waiter did an impeccable job. I have thought hard and tried to find a negative but I can’t so top marks all round. Earlier in the year we stayed in two 5 star hotels in London - staff at Mere Court could give a lesson or two in how hospitality should be done. Thank you to all concerned for going that extra mile for these 2 very satisfied customers.

Lovely afternoon T, couldn't fault it. Good service and we had a lovely sunny day. Sandwiches were fresh, scone warm and a good selection of cakes.

Evening meal at this beautiful hotel. We’ve been several times and had our daughters wedding venue here. Top Class service with delicious freshly cooked food. Lovely place to eat, relaxed atmosphere & friendly staff. Thanks
