Been to Mere twice now .Once for Afternoon tea and the 2nd time for Sunday lunch. Enjoyed both visits immensely. Food was beautiful and plenty of it. Staff were lovely. The only criticism we have is that service can be a bit on the slow side but the food certainly makes up for the wait.

I took my Grandaughter for the Afternoon Tea at Mere Court and as usual it was excellent! The only drawback I could say was that the ham sandwich came with mustard already on it and neither of us like mustard! I think in future it would be sensible to leave the mustard off the ham sandwich! Annie our Waitress was ever so friendly and helpful! I have been about 4 times now for Afternoon Tea and it is always superb! X

Afternoon tea was excellent in a quiet alcove overlooking the gardens. In spite of a busy wedding function elsewhere in the hotel, the service was excellent. The sandwiches and cakes were very tasty and nicely presented. My wife and I had a very enjoyable experience. We couldn't eat all the cakes and a suitable plastic container was provided to take them with us. Well done to all the team and thank you!

We were stopping the night and treated our friends who drove us to the Mere Court to lunch. The service was excellent we all commented in the quality of the food and drinks that was served to us and went away thoroughly satisified.

Booked afternoon tea via Groupon Had to change the date and time not a problem when me and my friend did attend it was really well organised, staff were really attentive and helpful Food was lovely Definately recommend

We enjoyed our afternoon tea at Mere Court. This is our 4th visit and we will be back again. The food, staff and ambiance of mere court was 1st class I would definitely recommend.

Excellent afternoon tea for two with prosecco. I exchanged mine for a pint. No problem the waitress said. Food absolutely lovely. The afternoon tea consisted of :- Three small sandwiches each 2 slices of cake each 1 macaroon each 1 sultana scone,cream and jam each 1 alcoholic drink each 1 tea or coffee each Excellent value for money too.

This was a gift for our anniversary & it was lovely. We had the champagne cream tea, the sandwiches were lovely & fresh & the scones and cakes were delicious. The service was great but not too overbearing. The grounds are lovely, I would definitely say we’d return.

A very nice Afternoon Tea with a pleasing selection of finger sandwiches & cakes with scones & delicious whipped clotted cream to make it special . Service was super & pleasantly attentive without being overbearing . We ordered an extra teapot of a different tea which was no problem & no extra charge . Something to commend & be praised for . My friend from the Netherlands was delighted with the treat so Thankyou .

An absolutely perfect afternoon tea. The service and food were excellent and we sat by the open patio doors looking out in to the beautiful gardens. Will definitely be booking to go again.

Came to Mere court for Afternoon tea. Greeted by the pleasant lady on reception. Taken to our table by a lovely server. Given a choice of sandwiches. Setting was beautiful. When the cake stand came it was laden with sandwiches, scones, tarts and cakes. Given a choice of tea or coffee and a glass of prosecco. Food was delicious, would certainly return and would highly recommend. All staff were fantastic.

I booked afternoon tea for 11 people to celebrate a special birthday. We were seated in a fabulous room overlooking the pond and fountains and beautiful gardens. We had the room to ourselves. The food was beautiful, the service was excellent without being intrusive. A most enjoyable afternoon in fantastic surroundings.

I booked champagne afternoon tea for my mum & Aunties birthday. The sun was shining & the grounds were immaculate. The serve was great, very attentive. The food was delicious and value for money. I'd definitely go back.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience. The venue is located in beautifully keep gardens/surroundings. Experience made even better by helpful service delivering beautifully prepared food. The staff are a credit to the Mere Court hotel/resturant.

Had a lovely traditional afternoon tea here on 20th July. It was very nice and service was good. We had were in a room on our own with doors out to the garden where there was a wedding to be held. Nice place and nice food.

Had a lovely prosecco afternoon tea yesterday can highly recommend, the staff attentive but not over the top. The hotel is situated in lovely grounds.

We come to Mere Court a lot for afternoon teas and stop overs. Treat the old dears often as they love a day out :) It's an hour drive away from us in North Wales but well worth the drive as it is always fantastic. Staff are great, food is delicious and grounds are fab too. See you soon :)
