My wife and me had afternoon tea - a present from a family member. The variety of sandwiches and cakes were excellent. The service was exceptional and attentive. All in all a very enjoyable afternoon treat.

My sister and I went for traditional afternoon tea as a gift for mother's day ,we arrived to friendly staff,the sandwiches, cakes and scone were lovely washed down with plenty of tea ,it was a very pleasant afternoon, I would definitely recommend

Enjoyed stay so much we are returning a fortnight later.Couldnt fault the food and service.

Experience was greatly impeded by the complete lack of customer service received from the person ‘behind’ reception (not necessarily the receptionist and the bar man. Had it not been for her - our review would have been more favourable as the food was nice, location lovely! It annoys me why people who have zero customer service skills work in hospitality… it costs nothing to be polite and well mannered.

There was 8 of us for afternoon tea. We were given a beautiful little private room overlooking the garden. The sandwiches were beautiful and fresh. The cakes were beautiful also. We couldn't finish the cakes because the scones were far too big, they tasted beautiful, though one person thought it was very dry. Had the scones been a dainty size I could have eaten the cakes also,my only complaint. I would come again it was a an enjoyable social afternoon. The staff very attentive and professional they kept us topped up with tea.

Incredible afternoon tea with a brilliant selection of sandwiches. Service was fantastic and went above and beyond. The setting was quiet and aesthetically pleasing. One of the best afternoon teas we have ever had and have recommended to our friends and family. Will be back!

A friend and I decided to try the afternoon tea offered at The Mere Court Hotel. We I'll definitely be going again. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Making sure you are happy and letting us choose our own table etc. We didn't have to wait long to be served and when the tea arrived, it looked and tasted delicious. The scones in particular were clearly home made, fresh, warm and delicious! As for the room, setting and gardens; totally delightful. Well kept and looked after with separate areas, outdoor seating and big fountains. We really enjoyed it. Thank you.

Booked for afternoon tea for my Mum's birthday and it was gorgeous. The venue was lovely and relaxing and the afternoon tea was delicious, just the right amount too. Staff were friendly and helpful and it was a lovely afternoon.

Had afternoon tea here ,there was a lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes also a glass of Prosecco , Annie the waitress couldn’t do enough for us . We then went and sat in the beautiful gardens will definitely return .

Absolutely loved the afternoon tea here. We had an amazing view out into the gardens from our window table, the sandwiches were really good and there was a nice selection. The cakes were to die for especially the homemade scones. Loved all the details that just made the afternoon tea a little more special. The staff couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely be coming back for afternoon tea and after looking around the grounds we love the idea of a wedding venue too

I have been to the Mere Court Hotel several times over the past few years for overnight stays and for afternoon tea. I have always enjoyed the hotel, the atmosphere and the beautiful gardens. Because I have enjoyed the hotel on so many occasions I decided to book afternoon tea for my family to celebrate the 70th birthday of my mum. I cannot praise the hotel enough. The room was absolutely stunning. The hotel had placed us in a separate room and had arranged the table beautifully. We had a beautiful view out to the water fountain and gardens. The afternoon tea was lovely. Four members of my family are vegan and the hotel catered for them providing gorgeous food and vegan champagne. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up staying for about five hours! The young lady that brought the food out was fantastic. She checked on us regularly and made sure that everything went smoothly. All of the family commented on how beautiful the hotel and grounds were. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

Had a lovely afternoon. Sandwiches very fresh and a choice of 4 fillings. Scones were beautifully fresh and warm with some extra finger cakes which we didn’t manage to eat but took home. Staff were extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Definitely worth the money we paid on groupon

I have had several Afternoon Teas at this establishment and cannot fault the food, atmosphere, surroundings and the staff who are exceedingly helpful and courteous... It's for that reason we continue to return... A Great Afternoon...
