Yum, yum, yum! This place is fantastic but unfortunately a little difficult to get to sans car which is a shame because the wine list is excellent. The only other negative comment is that the food may be too heavy for some, my advice would be to pack the indigestion tabs and chow down because it really does taste as good as everyone says it does. The interior and atmosphere is also special in a comfortable sort of a way, especially cosy on a winter's eve.

I found this wonderful establishment some years ago and don? (to my shame) visit it very often. However, this does maintain the element of complete enjoyment on each and every visit and it is a bi- annual confirmation of just how good this restaurant is. Can the good get better? In this case I? have to say yes as The Sultan once again shines through as the sparkling example of culinary excellence that others may follow, but not surpass.

We?e visited this culinary heaven on three occasions during our winters "Curry Tour" and although it is a 90-mile round trip from base, my goodness it? well worth it. We will eat our way through the menu...eventually! Wonderful is an inadequate accolade.

Etna deserves a review - it is a popular and regular visit for those who appreciate a relaxed, homely and traditional italian restaurant. At prices that don't hurt too much, there are a good range of pastas and mains and some good wines at sensible prices. You can pop in here for a quick bite or make an evening of it. I was lucky enough to find the fleece a few weeks ago, i have since been three times. The place has a lovely country atmosphere, the service is quick, the staff are helpful and the food is out standing. Not a bad word has been said by any of the 7people that have accompanied me to the Fleece. It is extremely good value for money.

Whenever I have a party to organise we always go to Miyabi's, the chefs are great and the food is always perfect.

We stayed here last week the hotel was very contemporary and very smart. The food excellent the rooms very nice. Staff helpful and friendly. The hotel is set in the city centre very handy for shops and all bars. The breakfast was the best I have ever tasted.

FANTASTIC RESTAURANT, VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE SERVICE, NAN BREADS WERE LARGE AND GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY, THE GARLIC NANS WERE THE BEST, BEATS THE SULTAN HANDS DOWN.

The decor may not be as trendy as the other more expensive Italians in the town but the pizza and service is easily as good if not better.

Antonys is a great place for lunch.the menu caters for everyone.I have been going for years now and the food is always excellent and great value for money.The evening menu is lovely too and excellent value. The portions are good and the food is nicely presented.10/10

Brilliant! The best gastro pub in Lancashire and one of the best in the country. Try the lamb cooked in ale and served with goats cheese mashed potato and the set vanilla yoghurt with sauternes jelly, outstanding.

I would highly recommend this restaurant. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the food is wonderful, and it is excellent value if you opt of the early bird option which makes starters and deserts half price and main courses £6. Means extra money left over to spend on the old vino. The Simply Squiffy on a Sunday and Monday night is also very good, 3 courses and a bottle of wine each for £15...that's if you can get in, it is very popular.

I had heard many great things about this restaurant from friends and family but had never actually been until now and all I can say is why didn't I come sooner! I must say that the food here is first class, my wife and I shared the mixed starter for two, and the salt & peppered spare ribs were the best I had ever tasted. For my main course I had the fillet steak chinese style which came out on a sizzling platter and my wife had the sizzling king prawns in wine sauce, both with fried rice. The steak was perfect, very tender and the prawns had been cooked to perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would say this restaurant ranks as one of the best if not the best Chinese Restaurant I have ever been to and I will definitely be going again!

My wife and I and our four kids go to this great place at happy hour. We all eat and have a couple of drinks for around £35-£38.Excellent value. You can? beat it in Lancaster

Great exotic ambience, friendly service, but most importantly, every time the food is at the very least good and often excellent. In fact, the mixed starter for two is superb. For me, easily the best Chinese restaurant in town.
