I absolutely love this place! It is my favourite restaurant for casual dinners or just a really good feed! The food is delicious and beautifully presented, and very authentic. I can't think of anywhere else in Leeds who have White Pizza's. Even my partner, who imports some of the finest foods in the world, has a little soft spot for this place. It isn't the most modern looking place or the largest, but it is comfortable and warm. It does look exactly like many little restaurants that you'd find in Italy, and reminds me of one i found in Milan once! The prices are extremely reasonable and portion size good. The staff are very funny, and have a habit of speaking in Italian to you if you look remotely dark haired! They really take care of you - they will not allow a lady to put a coat on themselves, they're quick and attentive but not overly so, and once i went with a friend who didn't order a starter but they still brought her a small bruschetta free of charge anyway! This place beats many over rated establishments in Leeds, in many ways.

This restaurant is brilliant!!!! I cannot put into words what a gem of a place this is! when we went it wasn't busy but there was a steady flow of people. I started with snails which were nice and garlic flavoured, my girlfriend had the French Onion Soup, which as stated earlier is gorgeous! then we had salmon and Salt Pork respectively which again were well cooked and lovely! cant comment on the deserts as were both too full! the waiting staff are great, by far the best i have seen, very knowledgeable about the dishes and cannot do enough to help! We will def be going again soon! everyone should try this place!

We decided to give Brasserie Blanc a go at the end of May, dispite hearing 2 bad reviews from friends. First impressions were good, the ambience of the restaurant were excellent and the staff were warm and welcoming. I had the starter of the pear and walnut souffle and it was like rubber - it had obviously been made quite some time before being served and had been warmed up! My choice of mussels for my 2nd course was not available (i get the impression this is a running theme at BB, things being unavailable) I opted for fillet steak which was fine but nothing more than a good pub meal. 3 of us opted for a cheesboard dessert (£7each) which came on one plate and was scarce to say the least. Having been to many excellent French restaurants in Leeds such as La Grillade, where the cheese trolley is the highlight of the meal the portion size at BB was outrageous. Bitterley disappointed even more so when the bill was £50 per person!! Would not recommend this restaurant and wonder if Raymond has ever stepped foot in the kitchen or whether it is simply his name that this restaurant lives off. Go to La Grillade its so much better.

I was lucky enough to have the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, the food is absolutely amazing and this is a true dining experience!!! You MUST try this restaurant for yourself and I am sure that you will be as impressed as I was!!!!! Lisa P

My boyfriend and I have been to Little Tokyo so many times I've lost count. I'm a healthy eater and it's sometimes hard when eating out to find things to suit my tastes, and Little Tokyo is perfect. I love their Ramen Noodles soup, which keep me full for HOURS, and their steamed clam starter is delicious. The sushi itself is always perfect, fresh, and well prepared. Little Tokyo's hidden gem on the menu is most definitely the Pomegranite Iced Tea. refreshing and sweet without being overpowering, I wish it tasted this good when I made it at home.

Boutique bar full of pretentious nobodies who obviously think they are someone why????? when they work in bars and shops?? anyway this place is way past its sell by date it is scruffy and has gone down the pan since the days of when it was Velvet. Wouldn't recommend you hold any form of private functions here I know I wont and I wont hold any of my company events there either- organisation poor from the start be prepared to be disappointed.

Came to Leeds on business, and was looking for a takeaway in the evening. Akbar's restaurant adverts were all over Leeds, and sponsoring Leeds city in Bloom at almost every roundabout. Their adverts were also in a guide in my hotel. So I assumed that they've got a lot of money to advertise everywhere, they must be quite a successful business with good food, so I thought I'd give the restaurant a try. The menu had a note attached that said that £1 will be added to main meals, and 50p to starters due to the increase in price of raw meat and poultry. I'm a vegetarian, so it shouldn't make a difference to me, but they still tried to charge me the extra cost, but they gave up in the end and let me have it at the correct price. I ordered Akbar's special vegetarian pakoras, paneer and chana balti and a family nan bread. This cost me £14.15 which is quite expensive, but my company was paying so it didn't really matter. I brought the food back to my hotel looking forward to eating it, but was very disappointed overall. The main dish was only half full in the tray, and had a thick layer of red oil on top, very greasy indeed. The nan bread was ok but a bit chewy, implying that the ingredients weren't of a high quality, as I have had really fluffy nans in the past at other take-aways. The starter was ok, and so were the 4 free dips and salad you get with it which was a bonus. There was mint yogurt, mango chutney, mint onion chutney and sweet red sauce with onion and a nice salad. Overall, I wouldn't go here again, as there food was very greasy and unhealthy. To improve, I think they should fill the takeaway tray for the curry to the top, and not use as much oil in the cooking, £6.55 is relatively expensive for a vegetarian main. This is the first time I've had a takeaway and left loads of leftovers 2/10. Very poor, don't believe the hype.

Proper portions of quality ingredients came together in what can only be described as our best meal to date. French onion soup so deliciously sweet and moreish, followed by Petit Sale (melt in the mouth pork with lentils and smoked sausage) served with the pomme frites that surpassed those eaten recently in a traditional Paris bistro only the other week. My wife had the Porc Normande (Pork cheek perfectly cooked with cider). We couldn’t fit a pudding in but if they are as good as the starters and mains then they would deserve a separate visit! Steve (The Chef) and Sharon (The Maitre-de) have created a restaurant that balances traditional French dishes and good old Yorkshire hospitality. We shall be passing on the good word to all we know. This little gem should be a permanent fixture in the Leeds culinary community. We'll certainly be back as the menu is always changing on the blackboards.

Go here every other week and it's fab. Great food, great service, great value! Highly recommended.

Viva is one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever eaten at. The food is very authentic and flavoursome, and as you shut the door behind you, you could be in Italy in a small back street restaurant where occasionally a friend of the owner comes ina nad bursts into song. A fantastic restaurant with a fabulous atmosphere, superb food at reasonable prices where you are always made to feel welcome.

Really good customer service and friendly staff.We took our own tinnies in and they kept them cold for us by putting them in the Freezer.I recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala, lot's of fresh coriander and tomatoes.Will definitely be going again soon.

Terrible!! I never really expected a lot from Wagamama's, but after a depressing meal at this awful establishment, I feel that I must inform other innocent victims not to go there! I am a fan of fresh food and if you are don't bother entertaining the thought of frequenting this place. I ordered the ginger chicken udon noodles, the meat was obviously second cuts and really un edible. I recommend that you go to Tampopo or Fuji hiro they are both far better than Wagamama's could ever hope of being.

Booked a table for 15 for my wifes' 40th birthday and we were told a party of that size would have to have a fixed menu .One of our party was vegetarian who has had tapas before and enjoyed a wide selection of dishes at other establishments .Frankly the food was of good quality but nowhere near enough dishes for the people dining , such that some of us had to split a meatball and the vegetarian diner was just given an extra serving of potatoes ! The managers' attitude to our complaints was appalling and as a group we decide that the meal only warranted a bill of £13 per head , not the £17 he wanted.He refused to give me his name and job title so I could contact his head office to register our concerns , so I addressed the diners in the restaurant as a group to let them know our thoughts on how La Vina handled this important event. P.S all our group were professionals from Leeds and Manchester who have dined throughout the world and we were all adamant we would not dine with this chain again.

The food is more than good!!! Staff are friendly and helpful. The early bird menu is the best in town.Its the best french restaurant in Leeds!!

Good atmosphere, lovely restaurant, nice staff (although we were ignored on the way out ) but sadly food was not very interesting or inspirational. £16.50 for a boring plate of king prawns and chips with garlic mayo! Calves liver tasted nice but only the same as any other restaurant I've had it in - not sure why they are serving it with colcannon mash - it being a french restaurant - and where was the cabbage in it? Baked Alaska was a nice feature of an otherwise boring menu. The meal had a bit of the "Emporor's new clothes" about it. Will not be returning as there are a lot of other more interesting restaurants in Leeds.

Very Poor Service. Myself and my partner went in on a quite sunday night. We were seated at around 630pm,ordered about 5 minutes later, and got out 2nd(and final) course at 750pm. At one point, after 40 mins of waiting for our first course a waiter told us the food was on its way! People around us got served with quickly enough. The menu was complex, and should only be tackled by those who know their Beijing and Sichuan cuisine from standard chinese. The food was OK, but not enough to make up for the service. I would not go here again, nor would i recommend it to anyone.
