I followed this with a 12 oz Haddock, which again surpassed my expectations; beautiful crispy light batter, containing sweet, succulent Haddock! I thought my local Fish & Chip shop was good, but the experience I had last night, I don’t think will ever be beaten, unless I can get myself back to the Magpie Cafe! The bar has some nice beers/ales rather than the usual fosters/carling rubbish. They're dog friendly and always fuss and ask questions about our pup. Definitely recommend, please keep up the great work!

Same for the drinks, had a bottle of good quality wine with the meal and a couple of pints afterwards. A smart modern interior belies any first impression you may get when driving past !
