One of my favourite restaurants and it never disappoints! Always amazing food, great service and brilliant value, especially the set menu. A real gem!

Fab food and fab customer service! Would love to come back in non-COVID times as the plastic shields dividing tables were weird but it was food to see the rules being followed!

The food is always excellent, fresh fish, well prepared and superb presentation. The service from the wonderful waitresses is second to none. The quality of every aspect when visiting The Magpie has never wavered in all the years we have been coming.

Really good service with good COVID-19 procedure made to feel welcome the burger was really tasty but I feel would have been better value with two or three onion rings served alongside it. My dad also enjoyed his fish and chips. Nice village location with plenty of parking.good choice of beers and nice beer garden

Mussels for starter, a little too much garlic, but fabulous. Halibut for mains, quite possibly the finest piece of fish to come out of the North Sea. Simply superb!!! My wife had poached salmon salad, and a big thumbs up from her too. Excellent service from friendly knowledgeable staff made for a perfect meal.

First time eating at 31 Castlegate and we are so glad to have found it. The food was excellent and the service impeccable. Friendly atmosphere pleasant surroundings would definitely recommend.

We booked on recommendation, we wasn't disappointed the fish & chips was very tasty . That staff whos served us she was very nice and friendly. Highly recommend

Went to Sambuca on a Wednesday night, first time at the Morley one. The food was good, both of us enjoyed that, the only criticism would be that we both felt we were in a speed eating contest, constantly under the watchful eye of a circling waiter, waiting to snatch the plates and bring out the next course, sadly Kind of of putting, Bearing in mind this was a Wednesday so quite quiet but other than that it was fine

Called in for drinks, great atmosphere and staff were brilliant!

Visited on 23rd June a Wednesday and it was busy - but staff and standards still exception I had the awesome standard meal and the wife had scallop starter and Grilled salmon main - both meals were 10 out of 10 It’s reputation is true you will not be disappointed

Recently dined here for my Wife's Birthday, the food was fresh and delicious as normal we thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.

Had a meal here whilst staying in Whitby - it was fantastic. Would highly recommend a visit.

Great service we had haddock and chips and apple crumble for Desert was very night and fish was cooked just right
