Button Mill Inn – BarnsleyThis was one of the best pub meals i have had in a long time! at great prices.
Nags Head Inn, The – SheffieldMe and my father come here once every week. It's an excellent venue to catch up and at the same time, enjoy a nice curry!
Saims Restaurant – HuddersfieldMy hosts brought me here to dine on two occasions. Being vegetarian, I was very pleased with the choices on offer. I chose the special thali as it offered a wide variety of dishes that I could taste. The catering here is exceptionally good. We had a great meal.
Prashad – Bradfordbeen there than that, but this guys don't have idea about italian food, lets see how long they last.
Amici Ristorante and Pizzeria – KeighleyOoh dear... seems like we went on a duff night... and for my birthday, too! We were the only people there. The waitress was very friendly, and the starters were OK, if tasting distinctly like pre-cooked food heated up... But the main courses were such a disappointment. Two were so salty we couldn't eat them and the sticky rice was so stuck together you needed a sledgehammer to prise it apart! All the main courses looked and tasted like a cheap Chinese takeaway. We've been to Thai restaurants before so thought we'd get something really special... But really disappointed all round...
Thai Erawan Restaurant – RoundhayGreat food, atmosphere and service. Child friendly. Authentic Italian. 10 out of 10.
Aldo’s Pizzeria – CleckheatonThe Griffin has new management - Matt Roberts and his team have rejuvenated the place, the atmosphere is excellent, the pub is warm and friendly. There is a good range of well kept beers and other drinks to suit all tastes, the food is absolutely top notch and the service pleasantly efficient. The menu is eclectic, it was hard to make a choice because there were so many things that I liked on it. Sea bass and lamb tagine superb!!
Griffin Inn, The – HalifaxI have been a regular customer at the fox and hounds but have found the standards have slowly slipped front of house is fine but the presentation of the food seems to lack care it was much better under the expert hand of Karl Mainey I think the pub will also suffer greatly when Ashley opens the white swan at Wighill the pub needs to either up its game or lose the non caring chef
Fox And Hounds – WetherbyWe used to love this pub! So cosy and atmospheric (crackling log fires, candles on tables, old furniture, dim lighting, etc) with fantastic home-cooked restaurant-style food but I think it's been taken over by another chain who have sucked out all the character and replaced it with yet another 'suburban' style interior (no log fires, no candles, bright lighting, no 'chalk board' menu) with a lack-lustre 'pub grub' type menu (burgers, etc). So be warned if you're expecting the 'old' White House... It's changed!
White House – RoundhayI called in at Mango today for a coffee and couldn't resist ordering some food. I had the best soup of the day I have ever tasted and intend to go back again next time I am in Wetherby, either to the cafe if through the day or to the restaurant next door if it is an evening. The decor was modern and it was very clean. The menu is extensive and the lady who served us was very helpful and informative when we enquired about special dietary requirements. I hope this place does really well.
Mango Vegetarian – WetherbyMy husband and I dine here often, and a friend of ours won't eat anywhere else when he visits from the south - in fact it's his favourite place! The food is always top quality and value for money, all the staff are so welcoming. A Saturday night visit is a must for the entertainment - book a table for 9pm - great atmosphere.
Meze Restaurant – BrighouseNice pub with lovely grub!
The Sportsman – SheffieldMe and my family visited Whitby yesterday and this restaurant for my mother’s birthday they had travelled from Bradford to our home in Driffield and we decided to have a day out in Whitby. My parents had been to your restaurant in the past and said it was lovely. We placed our order and when it arrived we were all very disappointed with the quality of the food, my mum and husband had the steak pie which they both said had burnt bits and the pie seemed overcooked or maybe was a warm up also there was no veg just chips and some gravy? also the salad my daughter got alongside her fish and chips consisted of 1 small piece of lettuce and lemon? the fish looked large because it was long but very thin hardly no fish?? my 3 sausages did not looked cooked on the inside so were left. such a waste. also 4 teas were ordered but only 2 tea bags in the jar of hot water to share between 4 people the teas cost over £6., the bread and butter was a extra which i did think would have come with the fish and chips not an extra cost. when the bill arrived at £57 i nearly fell of my chair we were all very disappointed one good point was the staff were very polite and helpful we left annoyed at the food and the cost. to be honest i felt like i had just been robbed!
Quarter Deck – WhitbyDeewali, and there isn't a better place to celebrate the occasion than Prashad. So naturally, we were here back again for a celebratory meal, and an excellent meal it turned out to be too. The other diners must have thought so too, as the restaurant was packed. Thank you Prashad for a very enjoyable evening.
Prashad – Bradford17th October 2009 - Adequate nothing special. Arbroath smoked fish Japanese style interesting but no wrong on so many levels Arbroath smokie with soya, wasabi and pickled ginger on sticky rice smoked salmon might have worked. Confit of duck tender but not roasted till crispy a rather flacid skin spoiled an easy dish. The crab starter was OK but hey dressed crab not difficult. The chicken dish was unmemorable. Food techniques if refined could have lead to a more memorable evening.
Beatson House Restaurant – BarnsleyI've been going to Brook's on and off since a Christmas do in about 1998. Its a great place to eat, really tasty food just on the right side of not-too-fussy. Efficient and professional staff, some interesting booze to be had...at the end of the night you can kick back in the upstairs lounge with a last drink. Did I mention you can draw on the table clothes?
Brooks – Brighouselaila mirza should work there. i would payy billions to go if she did. that new waitress charlotte is amazing, she is so kind and caring, friendly and always willing help.
