Rinaldis – Wakefieldexcellent friendly restaurant, fantastic meat and potato pie have revisited just for the pie, highly recommended if you are looking for good value, this is it
Boatmans Rest – BarnsleyThe food is mouthwatering - it is my favourite restaurant by far!! The staff are all so friendly, the service is at a good speed - you're not waiting ages for your food but courses are not brought out 1 after another either!! Definitely recommend this restaurant - I have been at least 10 times and have never had a bad dish or service!!
Grappolo Restaurant – HuddersfieldI WENT TO THIS RESTAURANT LAST SATURDAY.. IT WAS GENUINELY THE WORST RESTAURANT I'VE EVER BEEN IN. THE MANAGER/OWNER JAY WAS AN ABSOLUTE MESS CONFUSED AND UNORGANIZED. ALL HE DID WAS PRESSURE AND ABUSE HIS STAFF FOR WORKING HARDER THAN HE DID. THE FOOD AFTER A LONG WAIT, ALMOST CERTAINLY GAVE ME AND MY WIFE FOOD POISONING WHETHER IT WAS THE MASALA FISH OF THE CHICKEN I DON'T KNOW BUT I WILL BE REPORTING THEM TO THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITIES. STAY AWAY!!! HOW THIS RESTAURANT GETS ALL THESE GOOD REVIEWS IS BEYOND ME. THEY MUST BE ASKING THEIR FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO POST THESE FAKE REVIEWS.
Kebabeesh – BradfordIts nice!!! I like!!! High five!!! Yagshamesh!
Sands House Inn – Huddersfieldhi i visited your restaurant a week last sat. with a group of girl friends and enjoyed it so much i cannot stop talking about it. I COULDNT STOP TALKING ABOUT IT SO MUCH SO WE ARE HAVING OUR XMAS DO WITH YOU ON THE 15TH OF DEC CANNOT WAIT . I HAVE EVEN TOLD THE GIRLS IN MY LOCAL BANK ABOUT AND THEY ARE COMING TO TRY YOU OUT I WILL HAVE TO GO NOW MY MOUTH IS WATERING SEE YOU SOON
Wasabi Teppanyaki – Leeds City Centrewe have eaten in the new Bibi's a few times now, and think it is a 'cut above the rest' when it comes to restaurants in Leeds. The decor is amazing, very Vegas-y & showtime and what more could you want on the weekend that you savour so much, is to sip champagne or cocktails in a packed bar with friends! food is excellent every time, never just a one-off (unlike certain city square venues) and the staff are always attentive. we love it, and can certainly see what all the fuss is about!
Bibis Italianissimo – Leeds City CentreI am shocked to see such high reviews for this place that dares to call itself a restaurant! I have just spent a most unpleasant lunchtime in there - anywhere else on a monday lunchtime in town you would expect to be served with a smile, in a timely manner and treated with some degres of respect as after all you are the paying customer. Problems started when there was one person taking food orders and running the bar. The queue was five long and needless to say the service was slow. Once we had eventually placed our food order along with two carbonated drinks by the time we got back to our table we were told there was no bread as they were waiting on a delivery so had to pick something else. We opted for the fish finger sandwiches for which we were told they had bread rolls so could serve them. We had a sip of our drink to find the in both the lemonade and coke the syrup had run out so we called the one waitress over to ask if we could have replacements only to be told we had to join the back of the queue for the bar if we wanted new drinks which was now 10 long and showed no signs of moving. Our food came and to say i was disappointed is an understatement. The quality of the fish fingers were that of Lidl (hnestly Icelands are better) and hardly cooked (fried hard but practically raw inside) and the apparent seasame bun resembled a squashed warbertons roll that you can get for 6 for a £1. The chips were also deep fried to within an inch of their lives as well. They had the cheek to charge £5.95 for this apparent culinary delight. I was all for complaining and demanding an explanation but finding an appropriate person to complain to was hard enough and as my lunch hour was almost up after all the queuing that was required i walked out thoroughly disappointed and very angry. I say to anyone who is even marginally tempted to have a "light bite" in this "restaurant" to think again and go spend your hard earned money elsewhere! Absolutely shocking and if Gordon Ramsey had a grave he would most certainly be turning in it!
The New Conservatory – Leeds City CentreTwo meals came 20 (twenty) minutes after the original 15. Everyone who ordered mush peas left them! Staff told but no apologies given. Customers seen leaving after waiting to be served for over 10 mins. at the bar. No one in control of the bar.
New Inn – HalifaxJ. Taylor, 9 Mill Chase Close, Alverthorpe, Wakefield, WF2 9SN. Dear Manager, During a recent visit to Rinaldis, I have to say I was quite disappointed with the service and food. Not only did myself and the 2 other guests I was with have to wait about 20 minutes to place our order, when the food came, it came separately in ten minute gaps. I kept having to ask where the rest of the food was. The staff were polite and I could see they were under pressure but I do feel that we did not get value for money. I am a regular customer and this is not the first time I have felt like complaining although most of my experiences have been good. My confidence in your restaurant has been dented. Thank you for your time and I look forward to your prompt reply. J. Taylor
Rinaldis – Wakefieldcant really recommend this restaurant, I ordered medium to rare fillet and was served fillet well done, the dessert I and my partner ordered was the toffee lumpy bumpy and this was served straight from the freezer, was rock hard and unpalatable, when we complained about the desert the proprietor just shrugged and said sorry mate.
Elephant and Castle – BarnsleyExcellent for a childs party but please remember parents, there are other people eating and your children should be under some form of supervision and control. My daughter and I called in for lunch on Saturday we waited a few minutes to attract a waitresses attention to be seated. We were offered a table in the corner of the restaurant. Another 10 minutes passed before i could attract another waitress to take our order. When she was about to leave I had to prompt her that we would also like some drinks. The food arrived fairly quickly and was ok, however the children were allowed to run freely around the tables unsupervised by their parents and unchecked by the staff which made for very uncomfortable eating. All that Pizza Expresss needs to install is a ball pool and it would be an ideal replacement for Charlie Chalks. As you might have gathered from this comment, we will not be visitng Pizza Express again.
Pizza Express – IlkleyVisited with high expectations after all the press but the restaurant didn't live up to the hype unfortunately. The music was so low that I could only hear the nearby waiting staff talking socially. My fish was cooked well but was disappointed with the garnish. The best thing about it was the decor although it still looked remarkably like the old Leodis. Sorry, i didnt like the paper table cloths either!!!
Brasserie Blanc – Leeds City CentreBeen here a few times now, seems to be suffering from it's own success, still great food at a bargain price but can be very busy and waiting times can be long
Cock and Crown Brewers Fayre – WakefieldFriendly and funky place, serving nice and tasty food. I had the veggie option, a piece of grilled goats cheese with rocket served between 2 flat mushrooms with some french fries. My girlfriend had pumpkin soupin (surprisingly tasty) with a chunky piece of granary. Didn't have one but the hot chocolates seemed popular - going to have one next time!
Forum Cafe Bar – SheffieldThis restaurant have the best Briyani rice i ever eat and mango lassi and their staffs are friendly too. Very clean and highly Recommended...!
Zam Zam – Leeds City CentreWe ate again here last week, just to check that the first time hadn't been a one off you understand ! We took some friends with us and they were equally as impressed as we had been. If you love your Chinese food search this place out. It's no where near where we live and I know it's already become a favourite.
Yangtze Restaurant – LiversedgeMy partner and I ate here on Nov 9th 2007 as a special treat. The setting was beautiful, staff attentive and the whole room had a lovely opulent feel. On the down side I found it a little too 'art nouveau' for my liking, the food was perfection but the portions very small. The potato that came with my venison was basically a small dribble at the side of the plate, if I had been expecting this I would have ordered a side dish. 2 starters, 2 mains, a bottle of low-mid price wine, a coffee and a brandy came to £84 which by the time they have added the 10% service charge totted to a hefty £92. I am not a gannet but I left slightly hungry I'm afraid to report, with a considerably lighter purse.
