Orchid Restaurant – HarrogateThe Drum and Monkey is certainly one of the best restaurants in Harrogate and probably Yorkshire. Fantastic atmosphere and outstanding food! The staff are friendly and cheerful and it’s always an enjoyable visit for either lunch or dinner. I’d recommend the Queen Scallops and the Seafood Pie is the best I’ve found anywhere. Well worth a visit... or two!

The ambience of the restaurant was good and was very clean which made for a good relaxing meal. NOW the food...As said it was outstanding the portions were just right even for the larger pallet and the mix of spices were in proportion to the food not over powering. A real pleasure, my compliment's to the chef.

Canton Chef – HuddersfieldFirst trip to Leeds, first time at Anams and first time tasting Indian food. It was all great. Good way to start my trip. I definitely loved the fishes right in the middle of the restaurant. They were beautiful. The place was clean and the food was very enjoyable. One of the places I would definitely want to visit again on the next trip. Superb!!!!
Anams Restaurant – BradfordI had a great meal here midweek, no pressure and a waitress who was happy to chat, for a change! I visit the city regularly and I use the hotel regularly for coffee and lunches. Thought I would try their evening menu, I was not disappointed
The Lounge Restaurant and Bar @ Radisson Blu – Leeds City CentreMidweek lunch. I thought that it would be quiet but it was 75% full. Mainly Harrogate women who lunch. Four of them on the table nearest to us spent the entire meal trying to 'out brag' each other. Hyacinth Bouquet medals all round! The food, service and surroundings are first class. Using our 2-4-1 High life card made it even better. Give it a try...you won't be disappointed.
Clocktower Restaurant at Rudding Park Hotel – HarrogateOk, so its small and a little cramped. But the soft shell crab I had was delicious. This would be a fantastic place to have on your doorstep. Hope the residents of Ilkley support this venture and the adjoining fish shop.
Monkman’s Wine Bar & Restaurant – IlkleyRomano's offer the best quality Italian food and the staff are extremely friendly. When dining in the restaurant you really could be anywhere as it has a great Mediterranean feel to it. I now visit Romano's regularly as I feel it is by far the most superior restaurant in Barnsley in every way.

Jinos Thai Cafe – HeadingleyI love the Sheesh Mahal restaurant, it is by far the best Indian in Leeds. I can't get enough of it. Such large portions for such an average price. The staff are so friendly and welcome you as soon as walk in the door!

Millers Inn – BarnsleyIt was clear from our first encounter that David Todd (Proprietor) was passionate about food, wine and ensuring all his customers had a great time in his restuarant. It is very difficult to walk the line between a formal dining experience and a welcoming but non-intrusive service yet David and his team pull this off with aplomb. The wine list is extensive and enticing (and, incidentally, includes champagne with a very acceptable £10 mark-up!). The food is nicely presented, carefully prepared and expertly cooked. Finally, the cheese board is to die for, the only problem being the ability to remember which of the 16 cheeses was the best. In short, the Frenchgate is a wonderful restaurant serving great food and complemented perfectly by exceptional service.

The Ford Inn – HolmfirthA group of 8 of us ate here last Saturday and I have not got a bad word to say about the place! The ambience was delightful and the staff so friendly. The food was amazing. My partner recommends the "Tiger Tears" steak which he loved. Most items on the menu could be ordered with chicken, pork, beef, prawn, salmon or just veg so there was plenty of choice for everyone. The vegetarian option is almost half the price too so it was a bonus for me. The noodles are gorgeous here, better than plain bland noodles I have had at other Thai restaurants and the sticky rice was also very nice. I cannot recommend the choclate cake that I had for dessert enough - it was absolutely amazing! Price wise it was decent. It was £190 for 8 of us and that included 3 bottles of wine at a tenner each. We will definitely return for another fantastic meal.
Tum Nuk Thai – HalifaxI am almost afraid to recommend this place as once you discover it for yourself the rest of us will have difficulty getting a table! The proprietor, David, has such a pleasant and friendly manor you feel that you were invited to dinner with old friends when you arrive. He certainly knows a thing or too and is happy to explain the menu and wine list for as long as you want to listen. I was staying there while on business so can tell you that the breakfasts were served with the same care and attention to presentation and flavour as the wonderful dinners. The rooms are comfortable, genteel and tastefully decorated - such a pleasant experience that I intend to return with husband in tow for a short break to Richmond. The town is well worth visiting too!
