La Vina - Without a doubt, the best restaurant I have ever visited, bar none! From the moment we stepped foot inside the door the service was impeccable. The staff were so friendly and the manager personally came to our table to check we had everything we needed and were enjoying our evening. The service was outstanding and we were not kept waiting despite that we were a large party of 8 people. The Spanish music and candlelight made for the perfect atmosphere - we really thought we were in Spain! The food was also to die for - loads to choose from and cooked to perfection. We really couldn? have hoped for more. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone - its perfect for couples and large parties alike, I promise you wont be disappointed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Monk Fryston Hotel. The food was cooked to perfection, the Duck was exceptional. Service was efficient and extremely friendly. We would advise anybody to try this superb restaurant.

Tried this place on a Friday after work when they were in a hurry, so the service might have been a little faster than normal. However, the food was delicious - couldn't fault the noodles or the curries - and I would definitely go again.

We have just enjoyed the best Sunday lunch ever at the Black Horse. The service was very quick but the food was fresh and plentiful. We even managed a dessert which we have never seen so well presented. We would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys beautiful food with excellent service and a great chef. *****

the food both lunchtime &evening are well worth a visit I have even tried breakfast & is as good as anywhere you may care to mention they have an excellent choice of ales timothy Taylors is my favourite don? be put off by the pubs exterior inside is warm & cosy also friendly &a small but nice eating area at the rear. My wife & i travel from Leeds just to sample the lasagne if you fancy an overnight stay they have a few rooms to let . . mr&mrs yates. [leeds]

I thought the atmosphere was most enjoyable!

We visited on Friday evening, and the place was very full. Waiting time was about ?our, but we were informed of that even before we had ordered, and the staff kept us fully informed at all times. Presentation and quality was outstanding. Price was very reasonable, and to be honest, for the quality, and for the service, they could really do with having a slight increase. My partner and I had the Combo for two followed by a Homemade Game Pie served with Fresh Vegetables, (and I mean fresh because they were most obvious not the frozen variety) my partner chose the Sirloin Steak. Unfortunately for me, I could not finish my meal due to the sheer size of the pie, however, when the waiter cleared the table, he did inform me that it contained almost 1lb of meat under the herb crust. My partners steak was cooked to absolute perfection. it was asked to be cooked well done with no blood following the knife. When it was cut into, it was a beautiful tender pink, and the chef is to be congratulated on the way that it was prepared. After resting for about ?our, I was able to sample a Raspberry Ripple Cheesecake, but decided to share this as we were both quite full. Overall, with a bottle of wine and 2 or 3 halves of Carling Lager, the total bill came to less than £40. A great evening out, with excellent food. I will certainly be visiting again, and would heartily recommend the place to anyone. To the landlord and his staff thank you and well done. Whilst ever the quality of your food and service is this good, you are guaranteed of my custom.

On our visit to York 20/10/06 we found this amazing restaurant and can't recommend it enough! The food, service & setting were just the best ever, if you have never been here then you must GO and see what you are missing out on!!! Fantastic many thanks and see you again!

Having blown my weekly wages at Bretts fish shop round the corner my boyfriend Nicholas Ronald Hickley III and I visited dare cafe for a romantic meal. We found the restaurant to be slightly expensive, but all in all a magical experience! The atmosphere was electric, and although the food was only acceptable as the evening drew to a close my boyfriend felt a tear come to his eye. All in all great place, acceptable food

I've known about Boutique for about a year now, can't quite believe all these people who are just finding out about it now! Kind of wished they weren't, it is an awesome bar! Everyone seems to be talking about the cocktails and forgetting about the variety of bottled beers they do. Beers from every corner of the world. Those wanting a pint of Carling or Stella, or any other horrendous chav drink, need not come in and ruin my favourite bar in Leeds!

This place is excellent. Max is the nicest restaurant owner that Ive met so far in Leeds. And his favourite dish, the Achari Gosht is fantastic. Im a vindaloo lover myself but I thought Id give it a whirl and it didnt disappoint. It was spicy and yet tasty all at once. Ive also had a take away from there previously. Max knocked me up a chicken tindaloo which was the hottest thing Ive ever tasted. Nowhere in Leeds, that Ive found, does a hotter curry, it was superb! Id fully recommend this restaurant.

Frankie and Bennies is an Italian style chain restaurant. The food is good but but the music really started to grate when I visited. It's quite loud and they had the same 60s CD on loop the entire time I was there.

I held my husband's surprise 30th birthday party at Boutique, and the night couldn't have gone better. Upstairs is a great party venue . The staff are friendly and professional, the food was great, and the cocktails are AMAZING!! Top bar.

I have recently eaten in and had takeaway from Jinos Thai Cafe in Guiseley and on both occasions the food was outstanding. The service was great too, and the staff did all they could to accommodate my 5 month old son in his pram. For great Thai food it has to be Jinos.

Shimla Spice is fantastic me and my husband go every other week. The staff are our friends the food is gorgeous and the atmosphere brill, we really look forward to our visits there. I wish them all the best for the Shipley restaurant and hope to see them on Monday 30th with CHICO LISA AND MICHAEL SIDDLE XXXX

I went to this restaurant on a Wednesday night, thinking that there would be plenty of tables available, but to my surprise the restaurant was busy with only a few tables left (always a good sign!) The service was very good and the food was the tastiest Thai that I have had for a long time. I will certainly be going for another meal here soon. The food was very good value too - Three main courses, 2 desserts, 3 coffees and a bottle of wine for under £50.00.
