Bluebell Inn – Pontefractwe went to the restaurant tonight and the atmosphere was excellent the host was charming and the food was like nothing I have tasted before. This place is definitely a food place - I had the seafood platter and the scallops were cooked to perfection. Definitely the best restaurant in Wakefield and is so close to Leeds. i will be back with friends. Thank you for a lovely time Valentinos! keep up the good work
Valentinos Italian Restaurant – Wakefieldhad a fab night one to remember !!!!!
Thirsty Man, The – MirfieldThis is a great place to eat at any time. The food is always good value with a varied specials board. Most meals come with a good sized and tasty side salad. It can get busy at weekend lunchtimes but you can reserve if you need to. The art galleries in the rest of the building have a regular programme of exhibitions.
South Square Vegetarian Cafe – BradfordThe service was a bit slow however this was made up for in the food which was superb. Would return again
Griffin Inn, The – HalifaxWow what a place. It is the first time we have managed to visit Sukhothai after hearing a lot of good things we finally visited last night. We were been blown away by the sheer excellence of the food, and the number of dishes(180+) the perfection of service and the restaurant is one of the most beautifully decorated restaurants I have ever visited. The press say Sukhothai is one of the best Thai restaurants in the UK, and the number of smiling and happy faces that were in Sukhothai are certainly testament to that. Really really good. Bookings are recommended as the place was packed, we didn?, but we got lucky and managed to get the last available table. 5 *****
Sukhothai Restaurant – Chapel Allerton – Chapel AllertonMy partner and I tried this restaurant last Christmas after high recommendations from work colleagues and friends and we were very impressed from the moment we pulled into the car park, and was greeted by a very polite door man with an umbrella who opened the door for us and showed us in . The food was outstanding in our opinion and the live performance was fantastic. It was that good we tried to book for new years party but they were fully booked, never the less we have been returning since regularly and are never disappointed.
Royal Eastern – BradfordTried the March madness half price A-LA Carte menu. super value for money and really good food. The decor is very contemporary. Def go back again.
The New Hobbit Country Inn – Sowerby BridgeI am a regular at the Duke. I find the service is always excellent, the waitresses are very friendly. Food is very good and good value for money.
Duke of York – HalifaxWe went to Bibi's on mothers day at lunchtime, and there were 8 of us that included 2 kids. The staff were very attentive, but not over attentive, and made sure that we had ordered/received our food and drinks. All 8 of us had 3 courses, and something different, and one of us had the 3 for £20 special menu, and i can say not one of us had anything to complain about. The food was of a high standard, and i couldn't finish everything off my plate as i was sooo looking forward to having dessert!!! it was so well worth having the tummy ache from eating too much, and we all had a little taste of each others food for when we go back. the price was about right, it averaged at £40 per person, but we counted the kids as one as they had some things off the main menu instead of the kids menu, but no alcohol!!! you could spend £40 on 3 courses and a bottle of wine in Bella Italia!!! The large screen wasn't off putting, in fact the kids ( & one who shall remain nameless) were enjoying scenes from chitty chitty bang bang!!. I would highly recommend this restaurant, we are going back in 3 weeks for a joint birthday bash, and even though we don't live in Leeds, I have a feeling this is going to become our favourite restaurant. I will have to go back at least 5 more times to sample all the desserts i was fancying!!! service was excellent even though it was 3/4 full and would have no worries about going at peak time.
Bibis Italianissimo – Leeds City CentreAnyone who has enjoyed the cuisine at Dolce Vita in Wakefield will recognise instantly the superb Pate. My companions had a simple warm garlic bread and a more exotic pasta and - in deference to them we chose the Orvietto which was a superb drink. My very thick but beautifully cooked and presented fillet steak was so large as to leave very little room for any of the numerous fresh vegetable options on the side dish. A fine Canneloni was enjoyed by my wife whilst the two guests shared a large rack (crown) of lamb - delicious and superbly presented and enough for us to sample - indeed the main courses left no room for us to check out the sweet menu, but the coffee was excellent and rounded off an excellent evening. A second bottle of Orvietto took the final bill for the four of us to just over £90 - I hate the word average in the cost panel above for nothing about this evening was anywhere near average. A busy Saturday night in no way slowed the service and it goes down as one of our best outings in recent months - so much so that the in-laws are due next week from the States, and guess where we are taking them!
Orlandos Italian Restaurant – WakefieldThe staff and especially the food was of top quality. It is a carvery meal and you can put as much vegetables on as you wish. Everybody really enjoyed their meal and to finish off a fabulous day it only cost £3.50
Cock and Crown Brewers Fayre – Wakefieldvisited several times. food excellent, service excellent, and you are not rushed out when you have finished. good choice of wines and beers. all round, highly recommended
Bella Roma – WakefieldThis is the one - best bar in Leeds (Yorkshire?!) by far! I love the northern quarter in Leeds but Sandinista is the pick of the bunch. The atmosphere is always wicked at the weekends - never fails to go off. Wicked tunes played to a really up for it, unpretentious crowd. Cocktails are top notch as well. Definitely one to check out.
Sandinista – Leeds City CentreThis is my favourite restaurant in the whole of the Leeds and Bradford area. The food is always excellent and the service has improved greatly in the last 18 months, it's now a pleasure to go there and be looked after by someone with a personality! I don't know anywhere else where you can go and have three courses of exceptional quality food for £16.75. Fantastic value for money.
La Rue Restaurant – ShipleyThis curry house looks more like a bistro, it has a bar upstairs and downstairs is the restaurant. The food was really tasty and I would definitely recommend it, give it a try
Kiplings Restaurant – BradfordThis is, by far, probably the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. Food is excellent and is very well priced. The staff are great and the whole dining experience is fantastic. I recommend having a pickle tray and poppadoms before any meal, but also to try lamb methi aloo, and ask them to throw a few chick peas in with it too, the staff will go out of their way to provide you with pretty much anything you desire. EXCELLENT!!!
