We saw this restaurant advertised on Groupon so went for the first time using the voucher. The host was very friendly and accommodating. The food was good and we will definitely return.

We had Sunday lunch 12.10.25. The food was excellent and the service was very good. It was busy but we didn’t have to wait long for the our food to be served which was hot and fresh. I have been there to eat many times and will always recommend The Dove every time.

Excellent food and service. This was our first visit to the Dove as we were over in Leicester visiting our son at Uni. We received a very warm welcome at the pub on arrival and were treated with utmost courtesy by the staff as we didn't really know where we needed to go (we arrived in the bar and not in the restaurant). Two of our party were allowed to sample guest beers with no question which is a sure sign of a welcoming/friendly pub. We were shown to our table and given plenty of time to make our choices. Service was attentive without being overbearing. We chose a variety of Sunday lunches, and one burger, some also had deserts after the meal. The food was extremely well prepared, hot, and very tasty. We will definitely return.

Lovely venue, very welcoming and the landlord was really pleasant and accommodating of me and my family. Fantastic steak - we will certainly be back soon to sample more from the menu!

We returned to the Dove on Saturday 20th September to celebrate our 60th Wedding Anniversary, and we were not disappointed. There were 16 guests in our party and they all agreed everything was perfect. Food was delicious and no one was left waiting to be served. There were 3 Coeliacs and one vegetarian in our group and we were all catered for. The service was excellent and all the staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Let me just say- what a lovely meal! The food was absolutely amazing, really lovely quality and so tasty. Portion sizes were perfect and the service was excellent. The girl that served us was fantastic; unfortunately didn’t get her name. They offered a member of our party a free pudding as it was almost his birthday. Fantastic day overall.

My daughter and I came for Sunday lunch, as always the service and food was superb.

What a pleasant surprise x. Googled Sunday lunch in the area as was visiting The General Hospital, it will not take a visit to the hospital to revisit !!! Lovely clean surroundings and The Meat was the best we have had in a long while and quite often go for Sunday lunch . We paired our Beef which a Rioja this was also of good quality. Need to say we will be returning

Went for lunch with a friend. The food was great and the service was excellent. Love the fact the breakfast menu was also still available. The waitress was on her own but she was amazing. The food is much better than the intial impression the building gives you. I would certainly recommend and return
