We had an early lunch at The Dove on Boxing Day. There were nine in the party and the food had been pre ordered. Alex did an excellent job of keeping in touch with us when had to make an alteration to the time of our arrival prior to Boxing Day. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We were well looked after by the staff. It was my treat to the family and I was really pleased with the whole experience. Everything was perfect.

Yet another smashing meal at The Dove! Definitely one of my favourite places to eat in Leicestershire

We were a party of five and all of us agreed the food at the Dove was excellent, our party sampled the Christmas turkey dinner and two vegetarian options. The service was a little slow as it was very busy but that suited us as we could have a talk and enjoy the meal without being rushed to finish. We have been to the Dove a number of times now and the food has always been good. I should also mention Alex and the serving staff were also very pleasant even though they were trying to serve a lot of people on the night.

As always the food was excellent and despite the restaurant being very busy the food was hot all served together !

Another family get together, so our favourite place to do this is always at Cheikhos. Friendly, very good service, and amazing food. The staff are very attentive, giving the whole experience of eating out very relaxed and enjoyable. Thank you Cheikhos.

Good Brunch but a few adaptations needed... especially for vegan diet Lovely friendly service, clean and very welcoming. Water offered on arrival. Hot drinks are served from a machine so limited variety for dairy-free diet. Only teabag served is 'English Breakfast' more variety needed. Tea is given as a hot cup of water with a tea bag, a teapot would be nice as tea becomes cold very quickly. Oat milk is given as one little sachet, more oat-milk is needed so had to request and once they are added, tea becomes very cold; no option to request warm oat milk. Breakfast options are good, limited vegan choices. One vegan breakfast was served with butter...!!! Oops! Little breakky- £8.50 great value (Pork or Lincolnshire Sausage | Smoked Bacon Rasher | Fried Egg | Hash Brown I Baked Beans | Balsamic Cherry Vine Tomatoes | Sautéed Garlic & Herb Mushrooms I Toasted Tiger Bread) as a vegan, requested for sausages, bacon and egg to be swapped for smashed avocado... said they couldn't do, I'm unsure why... so I ended up 'paying more and getting less' for Smashed Avo £8.50 option of Toasted Tiger Bread | Avocado | Cherry Tomatoes | Chilli Flakes | Balsamic Glaze plus £1.50 for mushrooms! Strange not to offer my request. So, overall a lovely place, but a few changes needed with hot drinks and vegan options.

A great find! Came as a group of 9 everyone was very happy with their food ,which was very tasty ,well cooked and presented.We didn’t mind the wait as we knew it was being properly prepared . We will return!

I haven't been to Cheikhos for a long time due to covid and personal circumstances. I was so pleased to revisit and find it still a very friendly restaurant with amazing food. It was a quiet night so the atmosphere would have benefited from more customers. I live in Hampshire and only visit two or three times a year. It will definitely be top of the list on my next visit.

As always great, freshly prepared and cooked food! Specials board and a big selection from the menu. Service excellent and friendly!
