Went to Cheikhos for my birthday meal. The service was excellent and the food even better. Before the meal we were served with homemade bread with balsamic vinegar drizzle- it was amazing. For starters we had mozzarella, again very tasty. The best part of the meal was steak mains. I had one with mushroom sauce. Cooked rare as I wanted. It was the 4th time at this restaurant. Every time the food was great.

The Dove Pub and Kitchen – LeicesterBooked for 3 adults and 2 kids, we have been a few times previously and really enjoyed it, unfortunately this time one of the kids burger come out stone cold, we raised it with the waitress who took it away and advised a new one would be cooked only to be presented the same burger back and hardly even warmed up, a little disappointing, all other meals were ok and I was happy to see they had Neck oil on tap.

If there was anything not quite right they fixed it . The staff were ace from start to finish , couldn’t fault them . The food was good and would definitely come again .

Butternut squash was thoroughly enjoyed by a curry fanatic and fish and chips pleased a demanding customer. Although very busy with Christmas parties service was good and very good value for money.

At one point I had to ask the waitress to take our dessert order as she was distracted, along with others rearranging the tables for a booking which was quite disruptive around us trying to eat. However, I am confident that this was a one off and when we visit again the normal service we usually experience will be apparent.

The Dove Pub and Kitchen – LeicesterThis is a great restaurant with really tasty food. There is a good selection on the menu, I love the bread on the sharing platter starter. The pizzas are wonderful, but then so is the ravioli and the chicken! There is a nice relaxed atmosphere, you don’t feel rushed, there is no second sitting peering over your shoulder waiting for you to finish. To top it off the service is great and the price really reasonable. Well worth a visit.
