Yet again a fabulous meal, friendly service & lovely setting

Beautiful flavoursome food, friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere :) made it even more special with how they went above and beyond with some birthday surprises catered for when asked! 10/10 for us!

Have had a few meals at The Dove and been very pleased with the quality every time however, Sunday I was very disappointed with mine & a few of my family members meals. My grandson is 4, we chose the roast chicken dinner for him. The broccoli portion was too big for him & under cooked as well as the chicken was on the bone…….he’s 4 surely a child’s meal should be ‘chicken breast?’ I had to supervise him throughout the meal to make sure he didn’t choke on a bone, in the end I took the chicken off his plate! My meal wasn’t much better, 2 bits of chicken…..a leg & a wing, roast potatoes were over cooked & the veg was burnt!! My nieces had the ‘OG burger & there was more batter than chicken. Very disappointed and based on Sundays meals would not recommend eating there!!

Lovely Sunday lunch, piping hot and lots of it! Will definitely be eating there again. Staff also very pleasant and polite.

Returned after not visiting for a while due to an unpleasant lunch experience in 2022. So pleased to discover the food was back to its best. Three of us visited and each one expressed delight in our meals. Super friendly staff. Lovely and clean environment. I will be back x

Excellent service, super hot food & plenty of it. Children’s meal are excellent value for money, and the quality of meat is fantastic. It was our first visit and it definitely won’t be our last.

It was my wife's birthday meal. The menu was varied. We went for 3 courses, which was excellent value. All the food was tasty, perfectly cooked and presented. Waiter was attentive and friendly. Nice Christmas music - carols, without cheesy pop songs.Sevice prompt without feeling rushed. Thoroughly enjoyable evening. Definitely hope to visit again.

Went for a meal with family and the food is amazing and the staff are all brilliant. Ben our waiter was fantastic and is always so happy to help out. Our Chef was Sammy and he certainly knows his way round a kitchen. A brilliant man with a lot of culinary talent. Definitely going back again soon.

Visited this pub many times over the years most recently the chef has changed hands and must say the food is 10/10. Great portion size and tasted beautiful. Admittedly haven't tried everything but from what me and my family have eaten at this family friendly pub has been spot on!

Food ok, service lacked a bit, chairs uncomfortable, and was quite cold too. Not going to go back, sorry.

Great pub. Good service, food and drink. Had a lovely, relaxed evening meal. Not rushed at all which makes a nice change as most restaurants want you in and out as quickly as possible. Very well looked after. We've had many good meals here and will definitely be back again.
