We love What's Cooking and try to come every time we're in Liverpool. This time I pre-booked as there were 9 of us. The entire experience was great with quick friendly service and of course the burgers and deserts were fabulous.

We booked a table for 3 as we wanted somewhere to eat near to the theatre. The staff welcomed us arrival and showed us to our table. Everyone was so friendly and super efficient. We ordered 3 bowls of scouse and I have to say it was the best we've ever eaten! This was followed by gorgeous puddings. Value for money was fantastic and the atmosphere was very friendly. Thanks to the staff who looked after us.

Good ale, excellent Scouse! The best Scouse I've ever had in Liverpool. This was our second time since our last visit to Liverpool. Will definitely come back again for more yummy Scouse! You may have to wait a bit to get your food. But it is worth the wait!

The food here is delicious! We started with the hummus and bruschetta between us (sorry no pics, it was eaten before I gave it a thought). Then we had the meat feast pizza between us. A good job because it was huge!! . I recommend booking before you go as it is so popular. Highly recommended!! I know their scouse is scrumptious too!

This is our go to place before the theatre. We love it!!! The pizzas are fab. Service is great. There is always a nice atmosphere.

Delious Scouse in a lovely pub. Great value for money. Will definitely be my go to place on my visits to Liverpool

thoroughly enjoyable lunch with GF pizza option for my wife...good size pizza and decent portion of olives as a side. Staff were very helpful and amenable to our requirements. Will definitely be back!

Had a gorgeous pre theatre meal at Ma Egertons and what a price. Staff were lovely and attentive too. Only had drinks there before but most definitely will be going back for more.. We may try one of sharing platters next time 5☆

Absolutely love this place , always go when we visit Liverpool. Went 3 nights on the trot love it so much . Great position on the docks , staff really nice and friendly. Love the steak fajitas.

This was my second visit with friends. Food was delicious, good portions and lovely complimentary brownie with cream. Waitress was lovely and attentive. I loved it that much ive booked to visit again this week with my partner. I would highly reccomended this restaurant.

This place is outstanding for food and service. The waitress on Sunday 17th August was amazing, nothing was too much and made myself and family special. Would 100% recommend and will be going back soon.

We had great, quick and friendly service, only slight issue was the chips had clearly been sitting around and were warm as opposed to hot. We didn't raise it as we were so hungry by this time but it did spoil an otherwise great experience.

Not a great experience - Food was definitely not value for money Service was ok - but one meal came much later than all others and nothing offered as a sorry . Cocktail was poor quality for £11

Absolutely fantastic little gem of place. Visted on 14th August for pre show drinks and food with my wife Cat. Drinks are reasonably priced and the food is so fresh as its made to order particularly the Pizzas which are better than various Italian places we have eaten at. We had a pizza with a meat and cheese platter. This was our second time at Ma's (each time we go the theatre it's our go to place before the show). Situated right behind the stage door of the Liverpool Empire Theatre. The decor in the pub is fabulous, looking at old pictures of the area and some famous faces. We will definitely be back!! As it states on the website we always pre book our table for food as you have to beare in mind it is a small venue so REMEMBER TO PRE BOOK and you won't be disappointed

Lovely meal, myself & 5 family members booked the staff were attentive friendly, food was delicious, portion sizes were amazing, will recommend & will definitely return .
