we visited here for tea this week and were so looking forward to it as a family treat. When we arrived we were in awe of such a beautiful place to dine the inside is very elegant. we visited on a groupon deal and were to pay for additional food for a friend.We made our selections and waited for the food to arrive. Starters came beautifully presented but lacked taste. our mains arrived shortly after and we were not impressed my food was over cooked and the rice was tasteless others in the group agreed it was not the best meal we had eaten. found this place really expensive even with a groupon deal and will not be going again sadly

My friends and I have eaten in here several times and have never been dissappointed, the staff are really friendly & nothing is too much trouble, the decor is beautiful, cosy & very stylish.... I love the layout as it's set out over several floors, one of the best things is the garden, it's a hidden oasis in a busy city centre, just love it! The food is amazing, cooked fresh & delicious, good portion sizes and lots of choice! I would definitely recommend it, looking forward to going again very soon!

Excellent Bistro and Bar. Lovely place with attentive staff. Nice atmosphere without the usual city crowds. Good location for a special event or just going out for a meal. Food is very, very nice.

Had a really good meal last night - reasonably priced and a very high standard. Presentation was excellent - will definitely go again.

Me and my friends visited the venue to celebrate a birthday, we had a table booked for 7pm but due to traffic my friends did not arrive until 7:20pm. on arrival we where promptly sat at our table no drinks where offered and the staff where not very friendly!!! to me it did not seem busy as it possibly could be so i felt that there was no excuse for poor service.....once we decided what we wanted to eat it was brought out quickly but the waitresses where hovering around as if they couldnt wait to remove our plates! it felt very rushed and put me off! the food was basic wouldnt reccommend!! when the main was finished i asked for the dessert menu and was refused by the manager as she said there was no time for us to have one due to us being 20 minutes late!! she was not one bit apologetic she was just very blunt and basically said that we had a slot that for 1hr 30minutes and because we where late we could not eat dessert! This was absolutley ridiculous and i have never been refused anywhere before for food......if we didnt finish our meals on time would they have asked us to eat faster?????? highly not recommended!!!!

I have been coming here for 4 years straight and I absolutely love the food, the staff, the atmosphere, they are so friendly they come over and fill your glass up, absolutely love it, very warm feeling going in they always greet you with a smile. I give it 10/10 and ***** 5 star.

San Carlo Liverpool is a gem of a restaurant. I’ve been there a few times for different occasions and the food is always high quality. I recommend their ‘Pasta Alla Norma’ dish – really tasty with loads of fresh vegetables in!

Excellent service, excellent food, wish they had a wider delivery range would be prepared to pay extra for delivery. Best take away on Merseyside!

Have been here a few times now and really enjoyed the first few times, great food and excellent service nothing to fault. However, it now seems to be becoming a popular destination for stag/hen and other large, noisy parties which totally spoil the atmosphere! On our last visit, my husband and I had to shout throughout the entire meal to be able to hear one another and we were already seated at the opposite end of the restaurant! Won't be going back any time soon.

Lovely meal for lunch, kebabs, hummous, nan bread.pleasant service, reasonable prices £26 for 2x2 courses.with a couple of drinks.will definitely return for another go.

They really need to change the name. Chilli Pot sounds like a takeaway place, and when you see the outside of the restaurant, thats what it looks like too. Its a pity, because that really doesn't do justice to the food. I went here last night with my partner, and we were impressed. The food was lovely, with really fresh and clean tastes and the service was excellent. The food was beautifully presented and the portions are generous but not overwelming, so we left pleasantly full but not stuffed. Lovely, just change the outside and the name.

This place is a joke! Very expensive, food is cooked in the microwave has no taste and the service is poor ordered based on the managers recommendation what a mistake, avoid spend your money somewhere else

This place has not changed its decor since the 60's it's like going back in time. The service is good. The food is very average or below based on what you order. This place seems to add 3 times more gravy sause than the meat, also the spices used make food taste bland, Indian food needs to taste sharp and spicy not sweet full of blended onions!

I went here with my boyfriend on Friday night, the food was good but not great, the tapas was expensive for the size but the meat was good. The thing that shocked us was the bread situation; massive pot of homous, tiny bit of bread, really disappointed! That's besides the point - its Sunday night and that was the last meal I ate because I have felt terrible ever since! Just back from the doctors - food poisoning! Swerve.

I have a Chinese friend and we go there all the time the food is excellent and we also go in the supermarket shopping food really cheap

We took Janes mum for a meal for her birthday and were treated wonderfully. The atmosphere was relaxed but professional. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. We would recommend this restaurant to any of our friends, family and colleagues and next time we go we will be trying the Mezedes.

we visited her in may on a work afternoon out. only 6 of us at 3pm and we struggled to even order - never mind get extra drinks etc. it wasnt busy as it was a weekday but the waiting staff were AWFUL. we waited over 25 minutes just to get our order taken.I will go again but next time i will complain at shoddy service if i get it!
