Challains – Liverpool City CentreI love Piccolino's and regularly go there on special occasions. The staff are always very attentive and the food is fantastic. You don't feel pressured to leave, in fact it feels like they like you being there. A*****
Piccolino – Liverpool City CentreRun in a far too business-like fashion. We were told, on booking, that we would have to leave at 9.30. I objected to this at the time. Our bill came to £200 and I do not expect to pay that and be in the restaurant two hours. There were far too many tables and the noise was awful. We could barely hear each other .My fish was nearly raw. I would not return. There is no atmosphere.
Chaophraya – Liverpool City Centrewe had lunch today, Sunday 5th November 2012. A lovely meal, well cooked and well presented. The staff were caring and catered to all of our needs. We had children in the party and they provided a children's portion of ribs which suited our four year old granddaughter down to the ground. This was our first visit, we will definitely visit again.,
Blundell Street Supper Club – Liverpool City CentreHi i visited viva brazil for a meal and a couple of drinks and i thought the food was lovely.
Viva Brazil – Liverpool City CentreI'd heard great reviews about this restaurant so booked A table for 10 people for my boyfriends birthday. To be fair the food was extremely good, no complaints there, but the service was not at all what you would expect from from a top restaurant... We had to wait a long time for our drinks and when they did eventually come our table was left cluttered with empty glasses. Also when we had finished our food we were left with empty plates which after a while we began to pile up ourselves. When I told the waiter we only had half of our drinks order he did not apologise and was very blunt. We had to ask for the desert menu and in the end we didn't bother as it took that long to place our order. I was embarrassed as my guest were visiting from out of town and I wanted to treat them to a very special night out in liverpool....Unfortunately they did not get that here... Very disappointing...
St John Restaurant at the Sir Thomas Hotel – Liverpool City CentreWhat happened to GBK? Went the other night, was a menu change so no puy lentil burgers which was disappointing but the staff attitude was poor. Waitress who greeted us and showed to the table was friendly enough, few people in there (not usual) ordered halloumi, ok didn't have any but we didn't need a curt - no- from the guy. Said thank you and left - £40 worth of menu ordering gone
Gourmet Burger Kitchen – Liverpool City CentreCafe rouge does it again! Fitted in a meal before a cinema visit and the food was beautiful and the staff fantastic, friendly, respectful, just the right amount of attention. Both vegetarian meals were fantastic, so fresh and tasty. My friend had a twice baked souffle with cheese in which was a tad rich for me due to my low cheese tolerance but I agreed on having the compulsory tasting session with her, so light and perfectly cooked. My blanquette was delicate and full of fresh, perfectly cooked vegetables and the side salad was garden fresh. The large glass of house rose as recommended was just right. No popcorn and large drink for us after. 10/10 to you
Cafe Rouge – Liverpool City CentreHad a lovely evening. Great food.
Zizzi – Liverpool City CentreThis is a good restaurant, especially if you like steaks! it was the best steak i have eaten in a long time. Well worth the money, and a nice red wine to accompany. My girlfriend has fish which she said was really good, The staff were really friendly, the didn't have a problem with us moving seats (I wanted to sit by the door, as I am a smoker!) It was lively there, so we stayed for a few drinks afterwards too.
Bellini Restaurant and Cocktail Bar – Liverpool City CentreWent to Eastzeast on 21 Jan 2012 food is beautiful but the waiting service is poor for a top class restaurant waiters don't seem to know who is doing what wanted 25 mins at least for each round of drinks we ordered if this problem is sorted no complaints maybe the restaurant is catering for to many people
East z East – Liverpool City CentreWe ate lunch there recently as a party of 5. Booked at short notice and even though restaurant was nearly full they didn't seem flustered and spent time discussing the menu with us. Good ambience. I had game pie with really light pastry and generous filling. Homemade chips good too!
The Side Door – Liverpool City Centre....What a disapointment - such poor customer service from the restaurant manager when we visited the Hub on Tuesday 17 January 2012 (at 7pm). Serving staff were polite, friendly and efficient. Ordered 2 x fish and chips main course - which were excellent. Also ordered 1 Margarita pizza which arrived with the tomato topping looking dried out and just pasted on. My daughter was reluctant to complain (to avoid embarrassment) when the waiter checked if we were OK, but within a couple of minutes gave up attempts - with hardly any eaten. The manager duly attended and I politely explained the problem - his response.......she's already consumed over half (which she hadn't), and he only offered a half pizza replacement (would this represent half a steak/chicken for meat eaters?). His poor customer skills and attitude left us no option to leave as soon as we had finished our main courses - he also charged for half a pizza, and successfully managed to now lose us and our friends as customers. We won't be recommending or going back in the near future.
The Hub Alehouse & Kitchen – Liverpool City CentreIndian food at it;s best. We visited Mayur last night, after I had seen the Early Evening offer on their website. The food were excellent, especially their peshawari naan. You can actually see them cooking the food in the tandoor oven. Thanks to Mayur for the the lovely night, and ps and excellent choice by my better half.
Mayur – Liverpool City Centrewent on Saturday late afternoon 14/01/2012, the food was lovely and all the staff we came in contact with were very friendly. only downside was the glass of red wine i had, i couldn't finish it, just didn't taste right, they should look at their wine choice, maybe i should of had a cocktail as i think they concentrate on these as the list looked fantastic.
Alma De Cuba – Liverpool City CentreHad a meal with a large group of friends over Christmas and it was fantastic. It's BYO and they didn't charge corkage, even though they were happy to provide glasses and bottle openers. Visited on a Sunday night and there were only a few other diners when we went, but it's in a great spot and is pleasant enough inside for a bistro/cafe type place. Main positive is the huge portions and quality of the food - meat and veg all fresh and tasty. Typical middle eastern grill type of food but classy yet no-nonsense. Think there were about fifteen or sixteen of us, most had three huge courses we couldn't finish and the odd soft drink, and the bill was just over £200 - just shows how good BYO can be! A real gem and I hope it keeps going.
Shiraz – Liverpool City Centremy husband and l had his works Christmas party here and although they were short staffed they really made our party a night to remember hope his boss books their this year again even the entertainment was top and the food was brilliant.xxx
