My 2nd visit and it won’t be my last! This time I took family and friends to the Friday night party night. The mezze food was gorgeous, the entertainment was so good and lots of my group got up and took part in the dancing. Such a great way to enjoy part of my 50th celebrations. Thank you!

Had a great bowl of scouse ( just like home made ) before seeing the musical Grease next door at the Empire last Saturday . Lovely old Liverpool city centre pub great atmosphere, friendly helpful staff and food amazing value , we will be back.

Absolutely brilliant brunch at Clockworks. The Miners brunch is great. Staff so helpful and always there to help. Staff seemed to love our dogs too! Guiness is also worth drinking here .. we rarely drink it outside of Ireland ! Totally lovely experience

We had a lovely meal, cocktail and wine before we went to see a gig. Food was great, staff were great too and very informative, the only downside was it was very quiet, but it was only 5.30 to 7. Would recommend it though.

Great food & tea time menu really good value portion sizes massive none of us could finish. Can’t fault service really friendly and attentive staff & a really nice atmosphere. No complaints here! Thanks Christakis x

Really good to see this great Liverpool institution still open and trading as there are not many traditional public houses left in Liverpool these days. I haven't been here for some time but used to be a regular when I worked in an office in the area about 10years ago and regularly had food from the special board which used to be great. To my surprise I bumped into the old chef Dave Lee and he informed me he has been there 17years now and is still producing the pub favourites such as traditional Liverpool Scouse, steak and ale pie and homemade soup of the day.There were no specials available on this visit but I did have the scouse which was delicious washed down with a pint of Isle of Man Okells bitter. Really great !

Enjoyed a delicious bowl of scouse and a dessert of toffee pudding. The staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient . Would really recommend a visit to Ma Egertons!

Visited for breakfast menu - and will return as the evening menu looks delicious and varied. Service with a smile, informal, beautifully presented breakfast tucked away in one of the city’s quirkiest and romantic avenues. Well worth a visit.

Great service and food, cool place

Has been a long standing favourite for years. Had early evening menu. Food here normally very good but oh dear mediocre this time. Initially waitress forgot to put our order through so we waited 35 mins for a starter even though only 4 tables were occupied. For the mains we both had the Afelia which although cooked well was bone dry. Suspect may be different chefs in the kitchen. All in all disappointing!

We have been here now several times. Food is always delicious and priced great. Service is always spot on, it's very relaxed and not to formal, which suits us perfectly.

Great place, Staff attentive and welcoming, food excellent, ambience great. Great prices, definitely recommend.

Ideal location before visiting the Liverpool Empire. Food was delicious and piping hot. Definitely value for money and will revisit in due course.
