Went there, had terrible food. Looked in kitchen which was filthy - don't go there.

Went there, had terrible food. Looked in kitchen which was filthy - don't go there.
Beirut Meza – West LondonA little gem tucked away from the bustle of Trafalgar Square. The setting was lovely and the staff very attentative. Lovely food and a relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely revisit.
National Dining Rooms – Covent GardenA great venue for the view across the River Thames but the restaurant was rather soulless and lacked atmosphere. The food was lovely and good value for the money. The serving staff were rather flat - almost tourist - weary which was a shame as the venue deserved better.
Tate Modern Restaurant – South LondonInitially enticed by the review of a new 25m London restaurant visited by the Hollywood elite, I was left feeling rather deflated. The modern grandiose interior is on an awkward 2 levels so feels like you are pinned in once you sit down. There was no offer of sitting at a bar which would have made you feel like you wanted to spend the night there. The advertised 7 course tasting menu had no either/or choices and 2 of the courses turned out to be sides served with main (how special can broccoli be??). However the steak and fish were great quality and cooked to perfection but the panacotta cheesecake for dessert was rubbery. One to miss I'm afraid.
Yaneff at DSTRKT – SohoAn impressive venue with an enormous bar area that was buzzing with a great atmosphere - definitely a place to be seen at the moment. We had a smooth transition to the restaurant where service was good. The menu is reasonable value with 3 courses costing no more than £35 without drinks. My starter of pigeon breast was disappointing with chewy pigeon on toast that nearly cracked a tooth. The seafood pasta main was nice and the chocolate, salt caramel dessert was to die for... An overall enjoyable night at a classy venue.
Ham Yard Hotel – SohoGreat offers on set menu's and a selection of bars to start off your evening - a decent cosmo! Just make sure you don't go in on a night of International Football or you'll find yourself surrounded by a load of gormless blokes tearing their eyes away from the multitude of tellies learing 'hello darling...'
Carom – SohoInitial seeming a spacious vault with contrived basic, uncomfortable furnishings - it's soon redeemed by the sumptuous menu. The starter of potted salt brisket is a must (posh salt beef...) and very filling. My friend was accommodated without fuss to meet her gluten free requirements. There is great variety on the menu for fish and meat lovers alike. The place lacked a certain amount of atmosphere until it filled up. As a City of London haunt it is quiet at the weekends but quite nice for brunch.
Bread Street Kitchen – CityA beautiful classical, yet hip restaurant - literally down the road from Piccadilly Circus. We went there for brunch which was great value for the experience for @ £15. We were given a dinky cake box to take away our unfinished pastries. The service was impeccable and it was a great place to people watch and eaves drop on conversations between Ma and Papa catching up with their brood on hols from boarding school. We had an equally sumptuous dinner, only blighted by the over attendance of blingy Russians but then the night was saved by the sight of Tom Hollander in the bar.
Wolseley Restaurant,The – MayfairWe were unable to book but were seated after a tolerable 15 minutes wait at the bar. The bar was packed and initially the place feels cramped but thins out abit in the restaurant - although the tables are bumped up together, so not much elbow room. The menu is basic french fare and the service can border on Parisian abruptness. The two hour limit on the table is enforced with equal lack of charm when it's busy. But funnily enough - if you take it for what it is, which is a slice of frills-free Soho from another era before we were all spoiled by gastro palaces, you can have an enjoyable night with a good buzzy atmosphere.
Cafe Boheme – SohoToday My cousin's went there and I. We had a perfect time ! The food was really good and the price was fantastic as was the service! That's all I could say .....
Beirut Meza – West LondonBefore yesterday I went with family and ate their lovely food. I want go there again because the food was delicious and the service was brilliant ! GO THERE AND TASTE THE FOOD .......
Beirut Meza – West LondonYesterday I went to Beirut Meza with my sisters and we had a great time there! The food was really tasty and especially the tabouli was fresh. Also the service was great. They were really quick. The smell was really good . I hope you go to that perfect restaurant.
Beirut Meza – West LondonOne of London's finest hotels. Imposing stairway in the entrance leads to a stunning atrium which houses the restaurant. The hotel has 2 bars to choose from. My room was very comfortable and the staff very helpful and courteous. A really excellent selection for breakfast, every taste was catered for. I will return.
The Landmark London – MaryleboneA great value 3 course set menu with a glass of prosecco. Service was a bit flat and so was the atmosphere. The layout felt more like a canteen than a cosy Italian.
Mele e Pere – SohoA great place to finish off your evening with a coffee or hot chocolate and an Italian pastry. Squeeze in side by side with the locals but look out if Italian footie is on the TV as it'll be standing room only. Authentic Italian serving staff contribute to a great atmosphere.
Bar Italia – SohoWe couldn't book but managed to grab a seat at the cramped downstairs bar while we waited. A nice busy atmosphere. Some of the tapas type dishes were too small to share but the meatballs were filling. Would go again but not when I'm so hungry...
Polpo – SohoA slice of nostalgia in the heart of Soho. Start off at the bar with a cocktail - there are always set menus at great prices and you get as good a service. We weren't rushed off our table and spent the night chatting. Look out for burlesque and cabaret nights - they're great fun!
Kettners – SohoA great venue for brunch. The ride in the glass elevator was an adventure itself. Had a cocktail at the bar with an amazing view. Food was a little disappointing - chewy pigs ears... And uninspiring Full English. Wouldn't go back but worth a one off visit.
