I've been last night at Thai City restaurant in hammersmith, what a lovely food!!!! The city platter starter, the seafood soup and the seabass sooo delicious, good service nice atmosphere, it was a very good experience. Highly recommend it.

Went here as part of my ongoing quest for the perfect burger - and I think it came pretty close! The homemade bun was delicious and the burger was as juicy as I'd hoped. Meanwhile my (slightly less greedy) friend opted for the swordfish linguine - again it tasted great. On top of this we were really well looked after by our waitress, who was refreshingly knowledgeable about both the food and the drink. Definitely looking forward to making a return visit next time I'm in this part of town with a rumbling tum.

Firstly the food was okay. Nothing special, although I would recommend not having the seafood pizza as the seafood was very poor. The biggest problem with my experience at this restaurant was the service. The service was pretty poor and the bill took 45 minutes to turn up. They add a discretionary service charge to the bill and I asked for it to be removed from the bill as I didn't think the service warranted it. The waiter refused and demanded that I pay it. He said it was a compulsory charge and was stated on the menu. It actually stated discretionary service charge so I asked again for him to remove it once more. He then actually said "you are not f***ing leaving here until you pay your f***ing bill". I told him I was trying to pay my bill but he must remove the service charge as the cannot add charges to the bill, as it's the law. It soon descended further to him swearing at me and threatening me repeatedly. When the manager told him that he didn't know what he was talking about, he was told to remove it immediately. Despite being completely in the wrong he decided the best thing to do was to call me a "f***ing c**t as I was leaving. Hopefully he was fired but even the management did not apologise. It's safe to say I will not go near this place again and I hope they fail if they are going to provide such appalling service.

I visited the Bow Bells pub very recently and was surprised at the quality of food on offer - the pub is under new kitchen management and what a difference! Juicy burgers, fab steaks, amazing bar snacks - and a Sunday Roast which comes highly recommended - try it for yourself - you won't be disappointed.

It was very difficult to find Central Asian restaurant in London, that it why I was so happy to find myself in Samarqand. We spent a lovely evening there enjoying atmosphere, good service and fantastic lamb soups and plov!

Dishonest and disappointing.I went to Gazette with my (9 months pregnant) wife last Friday night. I'm a member of the Gourmet Society, and according to their website, you can get 2 meals for the price of one. There were conditions, to use the card on Fridays you need to book on the day, and mention that you'll be using the card. I did all of these things, and the man I booked with said it was fine. All good. However, when we went to Gazette and ordered our meal the waiter looked a bit blank at us, and went to find the Manager. When I showed the Gourmet Card to the Manager, it was met with a Gallic shrug and a 'we don't do that'. He then turned on his heels and walked off, and we never saw him again. We were made to pay full price for our meal.I am very disappointed with the way we were treated in Gazette. It is dishonest, pure and simple. It's a shame, as we've recently moved to a house about 10 minutes walk from Gazette, and we would definitely have gone again, and would have recommended it to our friends as the food was really good. However, all I will do now is tell everyone how rude, dishonest and money-grabbing they are at Gazette. Their loss.

Gazette – Battersea

I absolutely love this place, the food is very tasty! The sushi and sashimi is of great quality but there are also lots of other choices. You can sit at a normal table but I love booking the teppanyaki table for special occasions as the chefs cook in front of you. It's also in a lovely area close to Oxford street. Highly recommended!

Defune Restaurant – Marylebone

This is such a gem of a watering hole in central London that I feel I should keep it to myself but, vraiment, c'est le meilleur bar au centre de Londres ..... impeccable!

"Paradise Cove" food was totally satisfying. Loads of food for my money, I say the food is good value for money. Nice healthy meals. Nice friendly staff. Nice atmosphere, widescreen TV or music. Great special offers eg Lunch-Time Special meal for just £3.00 or the all day mini-meal offer for just £2.99. The barbecue events are fabulous.. looking forward to the "London Carnival 2012 Jerk Barbecue Bashment Weekend all Dayera", 24th , 25th, 26th, 27th August 2012. from 2pm until 5pm, with DJ and Licenced Bar. Special guests will included V.I.Ps and Celebrities

We were on a high after seeing the Brownlee's make Olympic history in the Hyde Park Triathlon. Initially lured in by the three course special for about £10.50, the Pizza Pasta Bar seemed like the ideal venue. Our children are 6 and 8 and clearly do not need or want adult sized portions, yet despite having the conversation about children's size portions they ended up with adult portions.....most of which ended up uneaten and wasted on their plates. When the bill came we ended up having to pay the full adult price, which didn't make us happy. Restaurants need to be flexible and cater for the customer's needs. Three of us went for tiramisu; two were fine but mine was clearly from a new batch that had only just been made. The base was tough and chewy and still very warm, with a layer of creamy stuff slapped on top. One of the worst puddings I have ever had. The service was OK but we will not be going back. A disappointing end to a fantastic day.Andrew, Janet, Leo and Imogen.

Pizza Pasta Bar – Kensington

Very surprised by some of the reviews on this site. Went yesterday evening. Despite being quiet - effect of the Olympics? The atmospere was friendly (apart from a middle-aged couple who seemed hell bent on sucking each other's faces off )and staff attentive,The food was well cooked and portions generous. The evenings entertainment provided by Tiger Pete? a guitar/ accordian duet who paid homage to Django were excellent - even though the guitarist had eclectic taste in footwear choices! An entertaining and have no hesitation to anyone wanting to touch a taste of Paris past, enhanced by the sounds of a music genius.

Hello Everyone ! I went here for my mums birthday It all began with the entertainment ye belly dancer on the Saturday night just like promised she was very good ! Then we chose a mix set meze and main platter for the 15 off us which was plenty of food that we even had 2 take away bags ! Allot off cold and hot meze followed by the mix grill this definitely was value for money ! We also had cocktails sangrias and mango magaritas ! Ye main part to the even which topped it all was the Shisha these guys know the best way to make the Shisha all the pipes was clean and flavours was fresh we had chocolate mint and also blue mist starbuzz followed by the al fakher grape and mint ! The coals used wasn’t just normal charcoal it was the coconut long last coals which didn’t give us a headache but gave us more flavour to the Shisha ! This place is a small but great place in Wimbledon south west London and would definatly recommend to people to relax and and just enjoy a good night !
