Away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Lytham holds essential ingredients. The Windmill, Lytham Green, Lytham Hall and the River Ribble estuary overlooking the Welsh mountains are all worthy of a postcard. A host of up-market restaurants will tickle your tastebuds.

I love this place for the excellent food, from interesting hors d' to the filling and memorable mains and the calorific puds. A real treat for the buds. It is also good for watching the mid life crisis men trying to chat up the equally in crisis women dressed in their gold shoes downing copious bottles of vino. So very Lytham nouveau. Peter Keeping

Portofino's Restaurant is the best most consistent restaurant you will find anywhere on the Fylde coast. I have been going there for thirteen years and it is still my favourite for atmosphere and most importantly food. The staff are wonderful too. If only there were more like that around hear. Keep up the good work Orlando

Have eaten at Bosco about a dozen times now and it just gets better and better, superb and authentic pizza and great pasta served in great surroundings by excellent and friendly staff. There are a lot of Italian restaurants in Lytham, but Bosco is leagues ahead of the rest for quality of food, service and value for money.. Excellent..

Enjoyed 2 evenings at Java. The house beefburger was very good as was the location in the heart of Lytham. The lemon and cream tart rounded things off nicely. A great meeting place.

Firstly this place looks great. It's got the vibe of Grill on the Alley in Manchester. Part bar but mainly an American Styled steak house. Spread over 2 floors like Chicory that it replaced. The staff are on the ball, the young GM provided slick front of house management. Also the food we had was very good, 2 contemporary burgers on a wooden platter with potato wedges. We went the other night for a leaving party and Henrys provided plates for a cake one of my staff baked, nice touch! Will be back.

We have been visiting the Red Fort for many years on a regular basis (sometimes every week). We have always found the food to be excellent, never had a poor meal or any cause for complaint, this also applies to the takeaway. The staff are always welcoming and provide really good friendly and professional service, a combination that is not easy to achieve. In our opinion this is the best Indian Restaurant in the Fylde area, and probably beyond..

Great Oriental restaurant with lots of choice and friendly service. The Malaysian and Thai options are particularly good. Highly recommended

We all really enjoyed our Beef and Ale pies at Artisan before the big xmas shop in Booths. Place always seems to be busy so they must be doing something right.

We eat here regularly. It is so refreshing to have a local restaurant with not only great Mediterranean food - led by Pizzas & pastas - but also predominantly an adult atmosphere. Bosco offers a lovely selection of accompanying New or Old world wines to help you unwind. the wood oven baked pizzas & chilli king prawn linguine are beautifully cooked. Oh, don't forget to ask for the Tartufe for pudding ! The hostess Jen with her pleasant cheery manner & her hard working chef husband Mo and their staff make every occasion special. The personal approach makes you feel "wanted" and wanting to return. Simply superb! Andrew & Jo

I dislike Fancy That, the owner is a very unpleasant person. He has no respect for some of the staff and i have witnessed him physically push them on occasions. This cafe is also not as child friendly as it comes across to be either. If i have to be honest i don't understand why anyone would visit Fancy That on a regular basis as the food is grossly over priced, and the owner, and i believe his wive, are very awkward to be around. I'm sure many other locals, and misfortunates can back me up on this statement.

Thank god for seniors fish and chip shop in lytham. Wheelans very overrated and very rude staff needed some competition . Whelans will close or be sold within 12 months of this review.

Had a meal at Bosco a couple of weeks ago on a thursday evening. Atmosphere was lovely, staff very polite and friendly and service was quick. We all had pasta dishes which were excellent as our empty plates testified. Saw pizzas going past and they looked good too. Prices about average for this type of restaurant. Just one tip if you are a lady of a certain age don't sit near the kitchen as they have an open fire oven and it gets very hot. Overall a lovely restaurant for a nice pizza/pasta meal.

This was my second visit to Bosco, I ordered prawn pasta, which was a bit of a let down, very basic with no sauce, and it was quite pricey £9.95. However, my son had a margarita which was lovely! the atmosphere is nice and the service very good
