I took my friend to afternoon tea at Lytham Hall. We enjoyed the ambiance of the library and the waitresses uniform. The food was excellent with finger sandwiches and unlimited coffee. We loved the chocolate cake, lemon posset and trifle. The flavours were devine. I especially liked the warm scones with clotted cream and raspberry jam.

Perhaps the small chocolate cakes were the only disappointment . The staff were attentive and welcoming and our 2 Canadian friends were very impressed with the surroundings ! The hall tour is really interesting and the guides all knowledgeable about the Clifton family.

Despite it being a busy Saturday night, the atmosphere was electric and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding: warm greetings, attentive bar staff while we waited, and seamless table service throughout. Due to a slight delay in seating, we were offered complimentary garlic bread—a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for the evening. The food was exceptional. I had the wild boar pappardelle, and my wife chose the langoustines—both dishes were beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for a truly memorable evening.
