We thoroughly enjoyed our festive afternoon tea and the food and service was excellent. The staff were extremely polite, engaging and attentive throughout, apart from the stern faced unwelcoming lady on reception as we entered the building. Otherwise I would have given 5* for the service too

The Afternoon Tea was really good, we were well looked after and the tea (drinking) was particularly nice. If I have a cristicism it would relate to the clotted cream which I understand the reasons for using the long life in a jar, but it really isn't very nice. Following our meal we wanted to tour the hall but were told that it was closed until 5:30. As we had travelled over from Warrington we couldn't wait another hour, take the tour and then drive back, so we missed out. The lady on reception advised that we would have been told in an email to take the tour prior to second sitting for afternoon tea. I have checked my emails and no such comment is contained in them - perhaps this could be included in confirmation emails for future guests. We did have a lovely afternoon and enjoyed ourselves very much.

My friend and I had a fabulous afternoon tea. Staff are very friendly and attentive and it is a lovely room that afternoon tea is served. For a small fee you can view the lovely hall which is really interesting and has a Dickens theme. A wonderful afternoon.

Visited on Monday evening (not the first time) and as always it was excellent. Staff all very friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was very relaxed. Food and drink served as required and absolutely top quality. Excellent value for money.

Celebrated my husbands 60th birthday with a tour of the hall and an afternoon tea. The service and organisation before the event was good. Overall experience was excellent, the tour of the Dickens theme was an extra special touch, with beautiful displays and informative presentations. The afternoon tea was super. All guests were delighted with the service and exceptional high standard of food. All staff were helpful and caring. Thank you, highly recommended.

The experience was a gift from my three daughters and what a special gift it turned out to be. From the moment of arrival to the end of the follow-up tour of the hall, the experience could 't have been better. The staff and volunteers were attentive, cheerful, friendly and accommodating; the food was perfectly prepared and served thoughtfully; the number of people for the size of the space was just right and the decor was breathtaking. Altogether, we had a wonderful time and the additional bonus of a tour of the house, themed "A Dickens of a Christmas" completed the afternoon. Thank you to all staff and volunteers!

What a fabulous venue, all staff are incredibly welcoming, ensuring a great evening. Owner makes sure every part of our evening was spot on, food was divine and wine advised was also a fabulous choice. Tarleton WI had a wonderful time. The whole experience was excellent. All your hard work by everyone was unbelievable. The time it must have taken you all in making everything and assembling it shows commitment and love of Christmas. We would like to thank the volunteer who took time in doing sign language to on of our members who is deaf it was so lovely and very much appreciated. The volunteer was serving our afternoon tea . I saw so many name badges but I think her name might have been Ann. Thank you so much for the experience.
