Red Fort – Lytham
Away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Lytham holds essential ingredients. The Windmill, Lytham Green, Lytham Hall and the River Ribble estuary overlooking the Welsh mountains are all worthy of a postcard. A host of up-market restaurants will tickle your tastebuds.

Red Fort – LythamI love JP's cafe, the staff are so polite and helpful. The food Is absolutely fantastic, especially the home made soup. I also suggest the cheesecakes are too die for, especially the Oreo one.
JP’s Coffee House – LythamStopped for a cuppa and ended up having a yummy cheese cake! Great place friendly service and excellent value!!!! Can't wait for next visit.
JP’s Coffee House – LythamMy wife and I enjoyed a very nice lunch at JP's. The place looks lovely and has only just opened. A lot better than the pancake place that was there before. Service was very good and friendly. Liked the touch of bringing our son a box of toys to keep him quiet. Our soup and jacket were very tasty and well presented, as was our son's pancake. We would recommend JP's.
JP’s Coffee House – LythamFirst time at Novello in Lytham after a recommendation from a friend and we were very impressed. Italian food on the Fylde can be a little bit samey but the menu here offers some really interesting choices that you won’t find anywhere else. We both had the lovely open ravioli in a lobster bisque to start followed by risotto (smoked haddock for me and wild mushroom for my son). The selection of wines is excellent too, ranging right up to iconic names like Sassicaia and Tignanello. We chose a delicious Chianti. The ambience is very pleasant; less hectic but with a more upmarket feel than most other restaurants in Lytham.
Novello – LythamA late night lads’ curry after a circuit of Lytham’s finest hostelries. Mohshina’s hit the spot and for the first time ever one of the boys ventured beyond Chicken Tikka Massala. It’s a very small and intimate venue and the bossman is a good laugh. I had their ‘special’ which was very spicy and did the trick. Recommended.
Mohshinas Indian Restaurant – LythamFirst time here downstairs at Portofino since their recent mini-makeover and it’s looking good. My colleague had recommended the chicken livers as the best around so I started with that followed by some surf and turf combination. Food was good and for such a successful and well-established business it’s nice to see the boss Orlando still heavily involved and not just taking a back seat.
Portofino – LythamI have visited Whispers on a number of occasions, for a meal or just for a coffee and sandwich. I have found the food very good, reasonably priced and the service excellent.
Whispers – LythamI travel all the way from Manchester just to get a kebab from here, by far the BEST take away I've ever ever had.
Ahmet Turkish Kebab House – LythamWe were at a wedding on the 25th October 2014 and have to say everything the venue, meal, and the staff were fantastic to all. Thank you Fylde Rugby Club Lytham.
Fylde Rugby Club – LythamOur party of 16 were extremely well catered for at Portofino last friday. We were upstairs in an alcove of our own. Food was very good as was the service from our team of secret service operatives (all had ear pieces I assume linked them to the kitchen-very misson impossible!). This is the 3rd year we have booked and will do again.
Portofino – LythamExcellent chicken tikka massala for the price. I would of course expect better in an Indian restaurant. However for a quick meal to soak up the very good beer, it certainly did the trick. My friend enjoyed his steak sandwich too.
The Railway Hotel – LythamHad a fantastic meal saturday night with family and friends. Couldn't fault the food or ambience. Couple of waiters a little po faced but our waiter Ernie, more than made up. Service was slick despite it being a busy night, we will certainly be back.
Spago Lytham – LythamFirst impressions were poor, young girl with no idea of customer service. No hello or thanks etc. She wrapped the chips them left them hanging about for the fish. Chips were crusty and the fish was a big piece of batter with a small bit of dry fish inside. It was a 7.30pm, assume they were winding down, but is that a good excuse? Think not.
Lytham Fish and Chips – LythamHad a lovely lunch at the Lowther Cafe yesterday. It's always packed which sums it up quite well really...
Lowther Pavilion Cafe – LythamBrilliant, recommend a visit to this cafe / resturant. Consistent excellent quality food. Staff are always polite, efficient and their service is quick, but thorough. Any requests are met if they can. If you are in lytham make sure you visit.
The Lytham Kitchen – LythamSecond visit to Spago and had another great night. What I hadn’t realised was that this place has so many different areas, each of which has its own particular vibe going on. There’s outside dining areas at the front to watch the world go by and in a private courtyard at the back, tables near the open kitchen, a big bar area, a section with booths, a large table in the window and a big round table at the back which would be great for a group.
Spago Lytham – LythamThank you Spago for a lovely lunch. Everything was just perfect.
