Away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Lytham holds essential ingredients. The Windmill, Lytham Green, Lytham Hall and the River Ribble estuary overlooking the Welsh mountains are all worthy of a postcard. A host of up-market restaurants will tickle your tastebuds.

Absolutely appalling service and terrible customer service. The staff were incompetent, unprofessional and ill mannered.

This is a great find 10/10 for food, service & live jazz. We went on a Tuesday & glad we booked as the place was full. Pizza & Risotto fantastic.....& the wine.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! Six of us dined on a Saturday night and the place was packed. Even so, the service and food was fantastic, and we will definitely return.

I went to Bosco for a Birthday Meal with my family and it was a DISASTER! We walked in the Restaurant and no-one welcomed us at all, we had to sit ourselves down. We were sat for about 20 minutes and still no-one acknowledged us, we had to literally shout the waiter down to take our drinks order. Even then he didn't know what lagers they served and then disappeared for another 10 minutes! When the mains came out, mine was missing! I had to wait another 10 minutes after everyone else got theirs, so of course I was left eating on my own... HAPPY BIRTHDAY ME! One of the mains was undercooked pasta - we sent it back but were still charged for it!!! To top it all, despite being the largest table in there, spending several hundred pounds, the owner made no effort to come and talk to us and showed us no warmth. He spend ages talking to his friends on other tables but made zero effort with ours. I was left feeling cold and ripped-off. Zero atmosphere. Terrible service. Safe to say I won't be going back! There are far better Restaurants in Lytham.

Love the risotto here!

Just got back in from a meal at Ego. I had goats cheese for starter which was REALLY nice, but could of done with a slightly larger portion as I was enjoying it so much. I had the spaghetti carbonara for my main course which was lovely and filled me just nicely, I wasn't stuffed but I wasn't still hungry either. The host we had really made this an extra-enjoyable meal as there was nothing he couldn't do to make us happy. Great results for Ego, we will be returning as it seems to tick all the boxes here, great food, amazing service and an acceptable price too. WELL DONE EGO!

I have eaten at Ego several times since opening, each time I have chosen something different off the menu and each time have enjoyed an exquisite meal!! The service is incredible friendly, and i would recommend Ego for anyone looking for an excellent meal out whatever time!

Had a great night here on Saturday just gone. Sugarvine helped me decide once again! The food was top drawer as was the wine, service etc. Would definitely recommend the seafood risotto, plenty of juicy morsels; prawns, mussels, scallops, calamari and clams. My girlfriend had ravioli which was made with fresh pasta, with a bottle of pinot and a couple of puddings was only £50. Fantastico!!!

Terrible service. Arrived having booked for 7:30pm, however was told hurriedly by staff to wait in the downstairs bar. Bought drinks and waited for approximately 30mins before somebody approached to take our order. But nobody had thought to give us a menu or communicated with us what the wait was for. Having asked the gentleman waiter (owner) if we could at least sit at our table and have our drinks there (as the bar was now getting very full with others waiting to be seated) - he hurriedly told us they were very busy and that we would just have to wait. We finally got seated at approximately 20:30 - an hour after the original booking time. We ordered from the gourmet menu, 2 steaks with different sauces. The starters arrived, they were beautiful. A while later the mains arrived, 2 steaks which I had ordered medium to well done and my partner rare, his with blue cheese sauce and mine with pepper sauce. The mains arrived, both steaks very rare and both with pepper sauce. The mains did not come with new potatoes as stated in the menu but with chips. When my husband asked the staff why one was without blue cheese sauce the main waiter came over and said he forgot to tell us that they had run out of blue cheese sauce. Absolutely terrible service. Not enough staff in the restaurant, the waiter/owner was incredibly rude, are meals were wrong and far too much hanging around. At the end of the night the waiter was not apologetic but told us that we were the only ones that didn't enjoy our night! It might have been because we were the only ones that had our meals messed up? Would never go back to this restaurant, i would never recommend it to anyone after the treatment we had. And to say the prices weren't cheap!

Have visited this establishment twice - both times closed - I expected the opening hours to be similar to other local eateries and was very disappointed. For all fish and chip lovers everywhere unfortunately you have no choice but to consider somewhere else to eat on a mid week evening!

We used to love the carvery that was put on here, however we went today to find out they no longer do the carvery. nevertheless we decided to stay and have the Sunday roast. This turned out to be the worst meal i have ever had!! the meat it processed meat and the veg taste like rubber. I would not recommend this place to anyone anymore, the food it warmed up, processed and disgusting!!!!

We have eaten here twice now and it offers great quality, fair price and a good atmosphere. Peter Keeping

I love this place for the excellent food, from interesting hors d' to the filling and memorable mains and the calorific puds. A real treat for the buds. It is also good for watching the mid life crisis men trying to chat up the equally in crisis women dressed in their gold shoes downing copious bottles of vino. So very Lytham nouveau. Peter Keeping

Portofino's Restaurant is the best most consistent restaurant you will find anywhere on the Fylde coast. I have been going there for thirteen years and it is still my favourite for atmosphere and most importantly food. The staff are wonderful too. If only there were more like that around hear. Keep up the good work Orlando

Have eaten at Bosco about a dozen times now and it just gets better and better, superb and authentic pizza and great pasta served in great surroundings by excellent and friendly staff. There are a lot of Italian restaurants in Lytham, but Bosco is leagues ahead of the rest for quality of food, service and value for money.. Excellent..

Enjoyed 2 evenings at Java. The house beefburger was very good as was the location in the heart of Lytham. The lemon and cream tart rounded things off nicely. A great meeting place.

Firstly this place looks great. It's got the vibe of Grill on the Alley in Manchester. Part bar but mainly an American Styled steak house. Spread over 2 floors like Chicory that it replaced. The staff are on the ball, the young GM provided slick front of house management. Also the food we had was very good, 2 contemporary burgers on a wooden platter with potato wedges. We went the other night for a leaving party and Henrys provided plates for a cake one of my staff baked, nice touch! Will be back.
