Great day at Fylde on Saturday. Good roast pork and a fine cheese board. I enjoyed the Guiness too!
Fylde Rugby Club – Lytham
Away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Lytham holds essential ingredients. The Windmill, Lytham Green, Lytham Hall and the River Ribble estuary overlooking the Welsh mountains are all worthy of a postcard. A host of up-market restaurants will tickle your tastebuds.

Fylde Rugby Club – LythamWonderful food, better than I have eaten in Spain anywhere, good portions, lovely presentation and hot on arrival. The staff are friendly and helpful. The decor is very nice. I have taken all my family on several occasions and lots of friend and they are all as hooked as me now. A definite must do.
Mojito Tapas Bar – LythamMyself and my partner regularly dine at the Red Fort and its is our Indian restaurant of choice whether we want to dine in and be catered to by their excellent staff or get a takeaway to enjoy at home. The staff are always helpful and will advise you if you are unsure. Their dish of the month is a must try.
Red Fort – LythamVisited Fancy That today February 28, lovely sunny day we sat outside, did pop in to ask if we ordered inside was told somebody would take the order. This was 12.50 waited until 10 minutes to be served, the older man then took the order 2 hot drinks and a toasted tea cake. He said they were busy, waited untill 1.35, hubby getting fed up. Went in to ask if it was going to be much longer was told 4 other people had to be served,my hubby said we had been waiting at least 35 minutes. The old man said no way it was only 10 minutes, in fact he was calling us liars. We told him not to bother. Just like to say I hope all his customers stay away as they are very rude and do not deserve to run a cafe. No recomendation from us.
Fancy That – LythamVisited Red Fort for the first time Saturday 23/3/13. Food was excellent service good , would recommend this restaurant. My wife and I have eaten at lots of Indian restaurants around the British Isles and this meal was up there with the best. Please keep up the very good standard. We live locally and like to support local businesses.
Red Fort – LythamThursday nights Curry Club was surprisingly good and excellent value at only £6.25 inc a pint! Not quite the real thing but close enough.
The Railway Hotel – LythamWent for dinner last thursday, was a very good meal. Most impressed with the wine list which seems to have been updated lately, some excellent wines to choose from!! The fritto misto starter was fresh and delicious and veal milanese main was tender and tasty!! A good night was had!
Portofino – LythamHad a great meal upstairs at Portofino. I had shrimps and Milanese. The shrimps were presented on a wooden platter in a copper pot which I liked. Milanese was lean and tender as you would expect. Service was friendly and efficient from our Portugese waiter.
Portofino – LythamWe visit Berties quite regularly. We love the cow milk jugs! The food is always great and the prices aren't bad at all. The decoration is lovely, very cute style. Sometimes we get a biscuit with our tea and we sometimes don't!
Berties – LythamOur sixth visit to this fantastic restaurant. Consistently excellent food and service. Rarely have I tasted such tender meat within various dishes. Good and reasonably priced wine list.
Mohshinas Indian Restaurant – LythamBlack and green undercooked greasy chips, stingy portions...how difficult is it to cook chips? I'm not sure Ramsey and Stein would rate this chip shop anymore. I won't be buying my chips here there's a better one round the corner.
Whelans – LythamGreat little cafe in an award wining park. They seem to be very proactive in the local community. Food and atmosphere good and it's a great place to take kids.
Park View 4U Cafe – LythamWe go to the red Fort on a regular basis. The menu is lot more interesting than the 'average Indian restaurant' and the food is fantastic. I have tried may things on the menu and every dish has been delightful. Each month there is a 'dish of the month' and quite often we have been asked to try a small portion of a new dish. The staff are lovely; very friendly and attentive and the manager is brill! We don't even consider visiting another Indian restaurant. From past experience, I'm sure that we'd only be disappointed if we went elsewhere!
Red Fort – LythamI am a frequent visitor to the Red Fort and have always found the standard of service to be excellent. The food is of a high standard. I always enjoy the atmosphere and find the early bird menu excellent value.
Red Fort – LythamLike the smoked haddock and mash very much. However the bacon needs to be crispy and it wasnt.
Queens Hotel – LythamAte here on recommendation from foodie friends and it's very good but we expected the best ever after the plaudits of top chefs too. Don't get me wrong the fish was beautifully fresh, batter nice and crispy if a little oily, good chips and unusual Tartare sauce; we just felt it hadn't quite lived up to the billing. The atmosphere and ambience like the service was OK but not especially welcoming. Still the prices are very reasonable and the wine measures very generous.
Whelans – Lytham2 first class whisky Sours on Saturday night!
Capri Grand Cafe and Champagne Bar – LythamWe had a very good experience in Ego on Saturday night. We arrived without booking and the place was packed. We were told to expect an hours wait, however the helpful manager found us a table within 20 mins. The rest of his team were very professional and helpful too. We opted for 2 platters for main and had a very nice bottle of house Rioja. There was live entertainment from an accoustic guitarist. All in all a good dining experience in an attractive looking restaurant with a buzz on a saturday night!
