Went on Friday 22nd for my birthday meal and it was ace! Food was gorgeous (but you NEED to put the chorizo in red wine back on the menu although you kindly made it on request for us!!!) There was a live singer as well which albeit very loud but once you got used to the volume he was fabulous which really added pazazz to the night and made the evening even more enjoyable! All in all, an incredible place to go and eat and highly recommended!

We very much enjoyed our visit to Bacchus. The staff were very welcoming and we were extremely well looked after. We enjoyed the festive menu which was delicious and great value. We look forward to returning soon. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent “Christmas”visit to Bacchus.The food as always was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented.The staff are so welcoming and although extremely busy are very attentive and take time for little chats.We love our monthly visits to Bacchus and wish you all good wishes for 2024.

We had a perfect meal here - one early turkey dinner and two confit belly pork. The food was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. One diner remarked that is was the best pork he had eaten all year. Well done to all.

Had Christmas 3 course meal with 7 friends. The staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble. Very attentive but not over the top. The service was impeccable. The meal was delicious. Everything cooked to perfection. It’s been a long time since I’ve actually enjoyed every single course and not had a complaint about anything. The atmosphere was lovely and friendly. The recent renovation is superb and has kept all the original feel of the place. Fabulous job. Also the toilets were spotless. Will definitely be returning

The Bacchus has now become the place we visit for that little extra. Good food, friendly service, great ambience. Never disappoints.

Great grub!!!

We only tend to visit annually for a family christmas get together - but it's always excellent value, lovely food, friendly and very attentive staff and a great atmosphere. We're a range of ages with some right picky characters among us - but even we can't fault Bacchus which, believe me, is saying something!

Service, atmosphere and food well below the standard of the Prestbury restaurant (which we love). Better tapas places in Macclesfield. Will not be returning to the Chestergate.

Absolutely lovely food and people

Fabulous meal, excellent service. Would recommend. The only thing I will say, if you don’t know where it is you could miss it, needs more presence on the street.

Came for my birthday meal was very quiet which was nice. But unfortunately the food was not great the patatas bravas were undercooked and the chicken was very chewy and hard. Lovely atmosphere and wine but would never eat here again. Im hoping they just had a bad night.
