Had a fantastic meal this evening at The Cock, Henbury for myself, my wife & our 2 children. The Bacon, Brie & Cranbery Panini with chips was fresh, piping hot & incredibly tasty. The salad was perfectly chilled & fresh & the balsamic vinegar drizzled on top complemented the salad perfectly. My son loved his kids burger & chips so much he kept taking photos of it for his social media & he ate the lot! My daughter loved her Tuna Melt too & my wife who never finishes her food actually ate all of her burger & fries & really enjoyed it too. We all had the delicious Salted Caramel Cheesecake for dessert which again, ended with empty plates. My kids rated the whole evening 100/10 which is high praise indeed from the fussy little monkeys. The beer was also perfectly chilled & tasty. Apart from the food being of such a very high standard & good value, it’s really important to point out just how amazing all the staff here are. Attentive, friendly, no waiting for someone to come over & clear the plates or take orders. They were there just when you needed them & gave service with a big smile. Lovely people. We are so very lucky to have The Cock, Henbury so close to home & to have it reopen with great food, great drink & impeccable service from a very strong team. We will return again very soon, can’t wait!

We went to Lilac Cottage again and brought our friends with us we were not disappointed, the food, cocktails, and the ambience was just perfect. Every time we go we always have such a lovely time and also come away very happy with our bellies full. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and always tell our friends of this hidden gem of a tapas restaurant. Definitely a must to visit.

I had a meal with my sexy friend last night and the meal was bland, thank goodness we weren’t of that ilk otherwise our date, sorry night out, might have been ruined. The drinks were not great, warm white wine and not very appealing glasses for the MILF sat opposite me to drink out of. The table arrangement was odd, I had to sit on two cushions propping myself up so I didn’t look like Freddy Benson in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels because I was sat on a windowsill. Anyway, it’s not the end of the world having first world problems like these, but I wouldn’t rush back.

A lovely lunch, thoroughly enjoyed by all of us. A little gem in the heart of Pressburg. Thank you Mike.

Food and service were excellent, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and attentive to our every need. We even got a lesson on how to make Melba toast! We live in Canada so cannot visit very often but this was our second visit and we will be back. Thank you for making our evening so enjoyable.

Wonderful restaurant Attentive friendly staff Amazing food

A hidden gem. The service was excellent, both friendly and professional! The food exquisite. The menu offers some very interesting mouthwatering, out of the ordinary choices. Everything we had exceeded our expectation both in quality and quantity, as a result no space for a sweet ending. Next time, soon will make sure the space is there.

Our 1st choice after arriving from France to this special restaurant in pretty Prestbury. Hospitality from Mike & the team is welcoming, charming, friendly & knowledgeable. The choice & variety of freshly cooked foods meld perfectly together. Excellent wine list. Your choice of Wine is decanted & waiter served. Spotlessly clean with immaculate table linens. They make you feel special, a lovely place which we return to time & time again. Thank you.

Jo and her team are the best. No restaurant comes close to what they achieved with food, atmosphere and service. We are absolutely heartbroken to lose the Salt Bar, take care of yourself Salt Bar team, we hope you can take some solace in how much you meant to so many people, you will be missed.

I have never had a bad meal in this place! We absolutely love the menu and all the flavours you use. We are so sad to see you close :( as we've loved visiting since we moved here almost 2 years ago. But all the best for the future.
