All very good, with excellent service from the staff , many of whom have been there for many years. Quality of food and presentation of the highest quality plus large selection of wines. my only gripe is that the menu doesn't change very often

Bacchus Restaurant – MacclesfieldChristmas Lunch Party for 21 of us. Great service and good food. Enjoyed by everyone. We had the full Christmas Menu and everyone was happy with the choices available and food provided. Good choice of beers to help with the festive feel. The staff and chef worked hard to deliver to us and another group over the lunchtime period. It was a great venue for a group party. The main courses could have been slightly hotter, but due to our party size we recognise the challenge to serve everyone at the same time.

Overall the food was well presented, timely and was good although my liver was woefully over cooked so was dry and tough. Our party of 6 all enjoyed lunch and found the food to be reasonably priced What spoilt the event was the eye-watering cost of the wine!! £28 for a average merlot that had to be sat by the fire until it warmed through, really??? You are a pub that serves good honest pub food, not a gastro pub!
The Poachers Inn – MacclesfieldWonderful service with lovely touches such as wine decanted and napkin placing. Food delicious. Pleasant surroundings- difficult to hear sometimes as the restaurant was busy and loud . Maybe additional soft furnishings would absorb some of the noise .
