Excellent food, nice atmosphere and excellent. I've eaten here about 8 times and everytime we've really enjoyed the food. Very well priced! Not sure what the previous comment is relating to.

Via Fossa – Manchester City Centre"You want chippy tray"? I haven? washed the korma stain off my shirt since the first time I tasted it's creamy goodness. I particularly recommend one portion of korma, one portion of chips, 2 poppodoms, 1 naan AND LOTS OF SWEET FIZZY DELICIOUS COKE to wash it down (better make that two bottles). NB Next time you go in, ask if Abdul if working. Oh, and three little words of advice: "ALWAYS GO LARGE". Supersize me baby.
Abduls Fast Food Restaurant – Manchester City Centresorry everyone hold on there, after reviewing Manchester? newest Indian restaurant, I may have got carried away. yes the food was still excellent and the service(once your at the table) was still v good, BUT we had a terribly long wait on a very busy Saturday night, and with the only choice of expensive bottled cobra for the beer drinkers plus a very noisy, giddy, young crowd, in fact there were several undesirables wandering around the place when we visited. food/service/cost excellent, unfortunately frequented by some right wallys. back to eastz east for us.
Akbars – Manchester City CentreWe visited for the first time on Friday 30 September 2006. Would probably rate it as the best restaurant in Manchester. A lot of style without the fake glam of a lot of places and delivers on the food brilliantly. The staff are excellent especially on the wine recommendations and the whole evening seemed as if it finished too quickly
Gaucho – Manchester City CentreWow this is the best place ever it is so much better than Starbucks if you really want a good coffee head here and you wont be disappointed. I t would be a real shame to visit Manchester and not visit Manchester. A fantastic little place with friendly devoted service. By far my favourite Coffee spot in Manchester.
Randall’s Coffee House – Manchester City CentreA visit a lunchtime with colleagues was very enjoyable, food excellent, staff friendly.
B-Lounge – Manchester City Centreoh dear, just when i was singing the praises of east z east which is excellent, we dine at akbars. we found nicer surroundings, better service although a tad fussy, and definitely better food! my only grudge, no draught beer (bottled cobra) very busy on Friday night .it has moved to number 1 on our Indian dining list. overall a great night out.
Akbars – Manchester City CentreWe visited for the first time last night. had the scallops & salmon fishcakes to start followed by fillet steak and duck. Finished with tiramisu and chocolate pot. The service was excellent, the prices very reasonable and the food was beautiful. Will definitely be returning.
Alberts Shed – Manchester City CentreReally nice food, good location, nice atmosphere, good prices. I would recommend this place. It is self service as it is a buffet so the service that you get from the waitresses isn't really a problem. Truth be told every time i've been the waitresses on the whole haven't been the best at all and it's been a case of they show you to a table, take your drink orders, clear your plates, all without a hint of a smile on the whole. When your at a buffet it doesn't really matter but if the waitresses where a bit nicer it would help. In saying that i would still return and would recommend it if you want a nice buffet meal in a nice clean restaurant.
Peking Court, The – Manchester City CentreI often eat at San Carlo when in Manchester and in my opinion it's the best Italian restaurant in Manchester. There is a huge choice of dishes on the menu along with a daily changing specials board incorporating a large choice of daily seafood selections. The standard of food is second to none and I love the 'trio de pasta' for 2, where the chef chooses which 3 you get. Great cocktails, wine (although quite pricey) and service too. Have also eaten at the one in Birmingham which is just as good. It's a shame there are no Italian restaurants of this standard in Liverpool. I just have one question..........please, please would open one in Liverpool before City of Culture 2008 and all the suitable buildings get snapped up?
San Carlo – Manchester City CentreI've been to quite a few restaurants that say they serve Spanish food, only to find an English owner/chef that likes to holiday on the Costa del sol 2 weeks a year and whose food is a poor copy of Spanish Tapas, El Rincon is the real thing, fantastic food professional staff and reasonable prices. The only other restaurant I'd recommend is casa las tapas, retiro st, Oldham
El Rincon de Rafa – Manchester City CentreVery good Loved it alot every one should eat there the waiter were very nice
Ashoka – Manchester City CentreVisited the English Lounge after some recommendation from friends, it was a Friday Night, prior to a visit to the local pictures, decided to first read other customers feed-back, after hearing about some good reviews about it on Sugarvine. Was not disappointed had an excellent evening. Was greeted by very friendly waitresses and shown to our seat which was just by the stairs, had a great view out to passing trams. Was spoilt for choice when we saw the menu. After recommendation from the waitress went for the Chicken and Pasta, due to the fact that I knew I would want dips and sweets at cinema. All meals were very tasty and well presented. Sadly had no room left for desserts but looked very good. Will definitely visit again / shame as the film was a total let-down.
English Lounge – Northern QuarterWent last night for a meal for my Birthday. I had the rare beef and horseradish salad for starter. The missus had roasted courgettes. Both were superb. Main courses were the Battered Cod and Duck Breast. If only chip shops could serve cod like that I would never need to go to a restaurant again. The overall experience was top-drawer. Well worth a visit.
Alberts Shed – Manchester City CentreWhat has happened to Piccadilly gardens. Visited this once dangerous location of Manchester to find it completely transformed. What is more Barburrito (under the big red building) is a brilliant restaurant. Great, fresh Mexican food for under £5, terrific service and a pleasant enough environment. I would recommend the corn tacos with grilled steak!! What is more two shops up from Barburrito is a place called Manna. Dropped off my mother in law there, who fitted in nicely with that crowd!
Barburrito – Manchester City CentreAbsolutely fantastic. I love picollinos and always though restaurant wouldn't live up to its sister restaurant- I was very wrong as its actually much better! x X x
Restaurant Bar and Grill – Manchester City CentreOne word...WOW the best chicken Caesar salad, rosemary potatoes and mushroom risotto I have ever tasted, booked in for 30/09/06 cant wait, go on a regular basis and are always looked after by the manager. Try a glass of Bellini!!! Best Italian restaurant in Manchester.
Piccolino- Caffe Grande – Manchester City CentreLovely British food and really outstanding surroundings. The building is beautiful. Check out the very reasonable wine list with some great choices.
The Old Wellington – Manchester City Centre
