Chakalaka is one of the best restaurants I've been to in Manchester! The atmosphere, service, food, and drinks were all outstanding. Their January deals made our meal ridiculously good value as well! When you walk in the whole place smells amazing and I love the fact it's totally independent. I had never tried South African food before but it was absolutely delish!

I had a fab dinner at Gio last Sunday 8 January for celebrating my wife's birthday with my little daughter. Customer service and food were both great. I was so impressed with the special decoration on our desert dish, which was served with a candle, to our surprise. Thank you the Gio team.

Enjoyed a lovely meal with my 2 children and my parents. Portion sizes are generous - there were multiple boxes of leftovers taken home! Whilst there is no specific children’s menu, smaller servings of dishes are available. Toilet facilities are downstairs and could do with some more attention - the door to one of the cubicles did not shut properly, the hand dryer was not working and the paper towel ran out. Service was slow to take our order, but quite attentive thereafter; the chap on the bar in the corner is quite on the ball. It’s been over 10 years since I last visited Giorgio’s and it it certainly pricier than I remember, or maybe that city centre dining these days.

Had a meal here on the 23rd December and although it was quite busy the food and service was excellent. Very friendly staff and Manager. Would definitely recommend and we will be returning.

Been wanting to try this place for a while now. The wait was worth it. I’ve never had a curry like it. I definitely recommend it.

Went last night (Sunday). We had a really lovely night, the atmosphere, food and Staff were terrific. The wine was also very good. We have been to Gio before and had booked there last night. However we were diverted to Giorgio’s their sister restaurant and offered Garlic bread or Wine for our inconvenience. Would definately go to both restaurants again.

Went here for a first date. Bit of a wait considering I'd booked a table, however the food has been a talking point ever since! Delicious and well presented, and perfectly located in the city centre. Would definitely have the steak there again!

Good service and food delivered in a timely manner. Atmospheric little restaurant, however if we go again will not be drinking wine by the glass£££.

The experience was lovely. The food was delicious and high quality. The service was very good, the staff were friendly and the ambience was pleasant. Would definitely visit again.

Arrived for our booking at 16:50 we sat down ordered drinks and they served them but before we could drink them we where told that we would have to leave as they were closing something to do with staff we think, luckily we managed to get a table at Giovanies round the corner where we had an excellent meal I booked Gios months in advance so we where very did appointed we will not use them again
