Very disappointing. Three of us went for a pre-concert early meal. One of us was French, from the food capital of France, and we were so ashamed to have taken her to Gio's. First, they got the order wrong for one of us. Secondly - unimaginative undercooked vegetables accompanied a piece of sea bass drowned in a reddish coloured sauce of unidentifiable flavour. Thirdly, we ordered dessert for one of us and coffee for three. The coffee arrived, but no dessert. We had to ask twice what had happened to it before it eventually arrived, long after we had drunk our coffee. We were met with uncomprehending looks when we enquired about it. And before even the coffees arrived we were presented with a bill, probably somebody else's. Service was, to say the least, confused, sometimes sullen. I got the impression that the servers' English could not cope . Needless to say, we will not be going there again

First visit to Giorgios. Staff very attentive & nice ambiance in the restaurant. Food was ok, but not the quality i had expected. At £20 per main (Ravioli & a Chicken Breast with a few vegetables) this was overpriced. £65 for two main courses & a bottle of wine (incl tip). I do not find this a fair price for dinner, to leave hungry. Would not return.

We booked our table in advance and when we arrived at the restaurant it was almost full, which was reassuring as it was our first time eating out in Manchester. Staff were friendly and attentive, we were served promptly and food arrived fresh and hot. Our starters of chicken wings and garlic and tomato bruschetta was delicious. Our mains of pollo a la crema were very generous portions with fresh steamed veg were very tasty. We had ice cream a little later for dessert this wasn't rushed and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were chatty and wished us well as we left. I would absolutely recommend Gio's, it was a relaxed and inviting atmosphere and we felt very welcome there. We will definitely return if we are back in Manchester again.

We enjoyed our evening meeting up with old friends. Food was good and service excellent. As it was quiet on a Tuesday we were able to linger chatting.

Great service and food. The Bunny Chow was amazing. Great value at £10 and huge portions. Looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended.

Excellent food in an excellent setting. The waiters and waitresses were very polite and attentive and the food was brilliant. Giorgio’s is my favourite restaurant - classy yet affordable. I love the bar at the end of the room from which you can order a drink after drink even long after you finished your meal and I really love the fact that the restaurant is downstairs which means you don’t have the distraction of people walking past and staring at you.

Excellent service & a very nice meal. We arrived 30 mins after the time we had booked a table & were apprehensive as it was only 45 mins before our concert but the manager made no fuss, found us a table immediately & ensured we were served very promptly. We thoroughly enjoyed a relaxed 2 course pre-concert menu & arrived at the concert in plenty of time. I particularly enjoyed my sea bass (fish of the day). Bravo Gio! I won't try arriving late again as I know they can be very busy, especially on Saturdays.

This is the third time I've eaten at this restaurant and I've not been disappointed with one of the times the pre theatre menu is excellent with lots of choice will certainly be back.

Quite disappointed, 8 booked for a meal for my husbands 50th birthday and I even advised one gluten free. Non gluten free menu, no acknowledgement to my husband's birthday and food presentation extremely poor . Have been numerous occasions but would not book special occasions in future.

Lovely food & atmosphere. This is our 2nd visit to Gio, and didn’t disappoint. The pre-theatre meal is ideal.

Been here many times but two nights ago a came and ordered house wine two large glasses and it said £6.95 on menu on bill it came £9.50 a whole bottle was only. £1 dearer on the Shiraz . Service rushed I felt and the 10% service charge I do not like this putting on - I always tip but I don’t like being told what to tip - we won’t be back felt cheated with the wine have emailed restaurant to tell them but no response ! There are lots more restaurants out there and it’s not particularly cheap - £14.50 for lasagne . It was quiet when we were there onky three tables so no atmosphere .
