Absolutely fantastic, Food quality & presentation amazing, Service by very friendly staff, and lovely atmosphere

Visited Sorella last night. It’s a place I’ve been to many times and it’s usually 10/10 for both food and service. Drinks service at the start was a little slow despite it not being particularly busy. Starters arrived quickly though and were excellent. The gamberoni and beetroot salad were both outstanding. There was quite a long gap between starters and mains, around 45 minutes, which felt a bit too long. When the mains arrived, the lamb pasta unfortunately came out stone cold. To their credit it was sent back and replaced fresh within about 10 minutes, which was handled well. The chorizo and nduja carbonara was also a bit bland and ended up half untouched. On the positive side, the cheesy garlic bread and parmesan truffle fries were as good as ever. When we mentioned the cold pasta at the end of the meal, the team removed it from the bill which was appreciated. Overall the service felt a little more transactional than the usual warm, authentic experience I’ve come to expect here. First time I’ve had anything less than a great visit, so hopefully just a one off as it’s normally one of my go-to spots.

Been to Sorella on many occasions all great, but not this time! The table by the Kitchen is not to be recommended as every five minutes another pitza stand is returned to the rack a few inches from you. This may be controversial but a screaming 3 year old on the adjacent table does not add to a romantic atmosphere, I don’t have a problem with kids no matter how young in restaurants but at 6.30 on a Friday with plenty of free tables away from other diners they come have been accommodated better. The food and service was good and I am sure we will return but not on that table and a request to be away from very young children desirable!

This is our go to restaurant when we want to have a nice stroll down to the high street for a meal. We’ve been here at least a dozen times now and have never had a bad experience. If you’re a fish lover, I recommend branzino. That’s been my choice for the last 4 or 5 visits. Paired with a Smokey old fashioned cocktail or a good glass of white wine and you’re guaranteed a pleasant experience. Also, always tip the staff when you can, they go above and beyond with their service.

Finally got round to coming here despite being local to the area for years and it didn’t disappoint. Service was attentive and friendly , food was fantastic. Only downside to the meal was the table next to us were screaming at each other constantly and had zero respect for anyone else in the restaurant which did kinda ruin it a little. Will be back though

Food was amazing,very good menu choice and great service too

We rarely get out, but so glad we made the effort, Sorella did not disappoint. Food was spot on and the waiting staff were amazing, literally amazing. In the words of that great philosopher Arnold Schwarzenegger, 'I'll be back'.

Went on Friday 20th service was amazing the food was to die for, I had the steak and I had it medium rare and my guest had a margarita pizza and they both tasted delicious, the live band added to the atmosphere

We had a great meal with our grandchildren the food the service and the atmosphere was perfect

Very enjoyable meal. Food really good and service was great. My food intolerances were taken seriously and really enjoyed my first of as a consequence. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. I struggglle with noisy environments and a lot of Italians are so noisy I can’tt eat in them but the combination of curtains and as cluster of small rooms meant sound was great. We will definitely come back.

The food was really good but too many people packed in on Valentine’s Day. We hadn’t been approached for our order after 30 min so had to approach a waiter. Tables were literally inches away from the next table!! They did go to a lot of effort with balloons and roses for everyone. My wife was poorly with a stomach upset the next day so not sure if it was the food or something else. They also increased the prices for the night.

Steaks was outstanding however it took 50 minutes for it to arrive after ordering.

We had a wonderful meal. Food was amazing and fantastic service. Atmosphere was upbeat but not ruined by loud music so we could all talk and catch up. Highly recommend.

What a lovely restaurant! The food was fabulous and the people who served our table were friendly, considerate and attentive. We can't wait to return!
