Vine is our go to place for a girls night out. This was for a Christmas party and as usual we weren't disappointed. The three course Christmas menu was out of this world and great value for money. Excellent food and service, thanks for a great night.
Vine – MiddlesbroughOur first time at Vine, we had just moved house and this is now our local restaurant and what a restaurant it is. We decided to go for the sharing platter of lobster and steak, it was not until we ordered that I saw a little tank full of lobsters which I learned that I had created a demise for one of these creatures but boy was it worth it. Starters were incredible, we had goats cheese and scallops to start and they were beautifully presented and really well designed to take full advantage of the plethora of tastes from both items. The main course then arrived presented amazingly again, this was my first time eating lobster and it tasted wonderful with a great sweet taste, the steak was cooked to perfection and just melted in your mouth. Mac and cheese was phenomenal and chips tasted so good! The decor was fantastic with an old style subway decor and the server was fantastic and very attentive. Overall a great experience and we will 100% be going back.
Vine – MiddlesbroughDisappointing. This place is on our doorstep so I really wanted to love it - but it just didn’t deliver. Inattentive bar staff upon entry - despite the place being very quiet. - felt like we were intruding. Not great for front of house! Early bird menu - very limited & still not all options available. Went for fish for main course & was full of bones but in fairness, this was corrected immediately & another fish prepared. Food ok but nothing special/ we were there during Teesside restaurant week but at normal prices I’d have thought it not worth the money - and the a la carte menu looked expensive but also very limited in choice. Just something missing with the atmosphere. You get the feeling the place doesn’t really know what it is, but just doesn’t really work. It’s not dress up or dress down. Not fancy or casual. Would maybe work better as a bar rather than restaurant - beer & gourmet burger bar maybe? Whatever … I won’t be going back in a hurry or recommending to anyone. A real lost opportunity for what could be a lovely venue in a great spot.
Vine – MiddlesbroughNice lunch,though,we were the only two in the restaurant.Sign of the times,I suppose! Started with oysters,which we enjoyed.Main,prawn linguine;prawns were cooked to perfection! Dessert,however,was off the scale! Never seen Pumpkin Pie on an English menu before! Tried it,and was blown away! Superb! The chef knew what he doing!

Vine – MiddlesbroughWe had a works occasion here recently, organisation in advance was great. Really accommodating. The food was delightful, and everyone complimented what a great choice the restaurant was. Service was lovely. Would absolutely recommend others to come.
Vine – MiddlesbroughBooked for lunch to celebrate my husband and my joint birthday celebration as my husband loved our last visit due to the selection of fish dishes. Unfortunately, there was a limited fish selection on the lunch menu. The starter I ordered they didn’t have. Had to change my main course too. Went for the burger, brioche bun must have been frozen as crumbled into bits as soon as you touched it. Left half of it. Hubby ended up going for prawn linguine in his quest for fish! £12.95 for 5 prawns in a lot of linguine pasta. Very disappointed. Waitress offered us a free round of drinks at next visit due to poor food but have us no voucher of evidence of offer just took name and number!

Vine – MiddlesbroughWent on a Tuesday night. Service was good but so it should have been as only very quiet. Food was very good but again kitchen staff weren't rushed off their feet. Slightly disappointed that certain beers were shown on drinks menu only for them to not be available and that STP shown on dessert board but also not available - hard to believe given amount of people in place. Room itself was cold which was disappointing with doors wide open even though temperature had dropped outside. Despite these few niggles meal overall was good.
