Shocking! Booked for Tuesday night online and received all our booking confirmation, was really looking forward to the evening as we had seen all the good reviews. When we arrived the doors were locked and no answer on the phone. We had to take our business elsewhere. And absolutely shocking to receive emails asking how or evening was and to leave a nice review.

Sunday lunch is outstanding and such good value for money, really good service and great price.. Probably the best I’ve had in a long time. Would like to call and try the main menu some time.

Lovely meal and the music played by the lady on the piano was great as well as the singing it really added to the evening..Service was great very friendly staff.

Visited Friday for the first time with friends for a catch up. took advantage of the teatime special. Portions were more than enough. Really enjoyed the food. Great service very friendly staff. All In All a lovely evening. Thank you.

The BEST Sunday dinner in North East. Always tasty, flavours exceptional. The Yorkshire pudding are huge. Even my Nana would of been impressed. Staff are lovely and friendly, always attentative . Open plan kitchen and I love watching the chef cooking and presenting his meals . My favourite place

Great food. Very pleasantly surprised at the quality obviously a great chef! Ordered cod but got Hake but was so delicious I decided not to mention ! Attentive service and greeting . We would recommend to others and visit when in the boro again.

What a perfect night! We were greeted by who I think was the manager (very friendly man) and shown to our table where we were told there was a special live pianist show. Service was fast & friendly which was so comforting for a romantic meal at out candlelit table. On cue, the pianist Kim Tsang started playing as we were getting our starters, the classical music paired with the incredible food was one to remember. We had a pea soup and a mushroom starter, both faultless. Soon after we had our mains of risotto and a seafood linguine, again very fresh tasting & flavoursome. After our food had finished, the manager then made room for us down near the bar to sit with wine & watch the pianist to finish off our night. All round it was perfect as it was my first time taking my girlfriend (who lives in Birmingham ) out for a meal round Middlesbrough. She absolutely loved it and couldn’t believe the value for money too. We will definitely be returning as it’s round the corner on our doorstep. Thanks again Vine, and a warm thanks to Kim on the piano for bringing the evening together with her music!

Great setting and friendly staff. Food reasonably priced and plenty of choice.

Menu more limited than shown on website which was disappointing for the pescatarian in our party. However the food we had was very good and service was efficient and friendly. We were the only people eating on a Friday night which felt a bit weird and in fact there were only about 3 other people there, but live music made the atmosphere livelier than it would otherwise have been. The building is really interesting and this could be a wonderful place for a night out. Please please please update your website as we came from outside the area and chose the restaurant based on the menu!

Atmosphere and service was amazing. Food was perfect, one of the best steaks I've had. Hats off to the new chef. Price is certainly worth your money. The website needs updating and a cocktail menu would be helpful however this did not negatively affect my experience at all.

We recently visited for our 40th wedding anniversary. We were very disappointed to say the least. Menus not as shown on-line no A La Carte menu only early bird and grill menu . Nothing special on either menu for a celebrity occasion. You seriously need to update your website as you are getting people there under false pretenses by advertising the A La Carte menu. The food was nice as an every day meal but not for a special a occasion . Food was exceptionally salty . Also when I asked to see the cocktail menu again which is shown on line I was informed you didn’t have any. This place could be really special if the owners whoever they are put a bit of love and care into the place and improved the menu’s . We got the feeling whoever owns the place made little effort leaving very young inexperienced staff running the place. Would i visit again mmmm maybe, not too sure, but definitely not for a special meal. Improvements are required I hope the owner’s start to take a bit of pride in what they have, as I feel this place could be a very special restaurant if they put the time and effort into it.

We were firstly disappointed when we arrived at the restaurant that there was no cocktail menu, as there had been one on the website, although the bartender did offer to make anything we wanted. Sadly, it turned out that most of the information on the website was not current. We were only offered an early bird menu, despite it being well after the early bird time, and this only had pub standards on it. Having been looking forward to the a la carte menu, this was disappointing, as we wanted a more restaurant quality meal, and so we decided not to stay. The staff could not have been nicer, but it was clear that we were not the first couple by a long chalk to make the observation about the website not being current. We asked for our feedback to be passed on to the owner.

Went here for my Mums birthday, the staff are lovely and the food beautiful. Steak was cooked perfect and would recommend the potato skins.

Tasty Sunday lunch, with no added cost for meat selection like some other restaurants. Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff and the food was delicious. Highly recommend
