Excellent as always. Best pub fish and chips ever
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe had the most wonderful stay at this gorgeous historic Inn. The food is absolutely delicious, the beef bourgignon pie was the best I have ever tasted. We were booked in for the ghost hunt night run by Sefton Paranormal Investigations and learnt so much about the spooky history. It was a very interesting night, with lots of ghostly goings on! Will definitely book again.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeGreat meal with great service in a classic country pub where the buzz of conversation makes for a chilled atmosphere. We'll be back.

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeReally impressed with typical South African service like we are used to. Food was really good and we went back 3 times during our stay at Pine Lake. Thoughrally recommended for lunch or dinner. Will definitely go back when in the area. All the best for the future.
The Tavern At Hale – MilnthorpeAfter a very busy week it was great to go out for a meal. We had fish'n'chips and enjoyed it very much. The cider batter was light and crispy, the haddock was cooked perfectly. The tartare sauce was good too. Perhaps a few more chips? In fact we couldn't manage pudding, but on another occasion I had a lovely creme brulee. We like to come for a meal before going to the Heron Theatre, and will definitely come again.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeExcellent food and ambience, would definitely recommend the "Frickles"
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe have visited the Wheatsheaf on many occasions and are never disappointed. A particular favourite is the Robertos soup and the chicken cob salad, but all the dishes our party ordered were first class.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeThree of us came for Sunday Lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the roast beef dinner and roast lamb. My elderly mum was able to have a smaller portion, which was most welcome. Of course we couldn’t resist the desserts! All the food was delicious and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Couldn’t ask for more so can highly recommend.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeHad yet another lovely meal here. Can highly recommend.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeFantastic local food…very generous portions. Would thoroughly recommend.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeHadn’t been to the Wheatsheaf for a while and was a bit put off by the same menu of old. But the meals we had were delicious I had the chicken burger, crispy, tasty and freshly cooked and my husband had the cheeseburger and really enjoyed it. Delicious chips. We both had the Affogato for dessert which was really nicely presented and delicious. Great service friendly and efficient. Great choices of wine. A great evening out!
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeI really do need to try something else but I love the freshness of the cobb salad with then fresh boiled egg, avocado, smoked bacon and walnuts. The garlic bread is a really juicy good size portion which is delicious. The onions by this time were the walnuts were a bit odd but it was still tasty and plenty of dressing too so no stinginess on the portion. Absolutely worth it.
